Casters are already pretty powerful.

I've had no trouble soloing just fine without a familar or animal companion.

Will taking a level of druid then a level of cleric with animal domain stack to increase summon power?

Does animal domain and spell foci in conjuration affect other summon spells like gate? And what about the epic summon spells?

If animal domain doesn't affect gate it becomes a little useless as the elemental summons are a waste of time. Every time I summon a water elemental I feel like punching my monitor

Animal domain would be worth it if it boosts the epic spell dragon knight but I can't find any info for this

I think they only affect spells cast with their respective spell slots. Cleric cast Summon 1 gets animal, druid cast summon 1 gets the druid... Not sure. Why don't you test it and provide your results?

Yes it does. At least I'm 90% sure. It's been a while since I was testing with Lokey, but I'm fairly sure Gate and Epic Summons give you some pretty sweet summons. :)

That's good to hear as I have a fighter/cleric with animal domain and conjuration foci at level 17 and I wont find out how usefull gate and epic summons are for a while yet.

From Bioware, no. It's hidden here on the char sheet and is unaccessible through NWScript entirely. Could pick it up with NWNxLETO and do something with it, but remember you're getting a free spell slot for having a prohibited school. Other fish to fry first.

No there isn't.

The way its done with cleric is by the feat you get when choosing domains.

On the bioware forums, there was plenty of post about the problem with getting the spell school, but everytime it was realized it was imposible, this even included something with NWNxLETO as i recall.

Gate and summon planars are NOT animals ... seriously, that would be an insult to their superiority. Nay, they are beings of another realm, complimented in other ways by clerics...

OK, I know his is an old thread, but i didnt want to start a new one, and search didnt help =P.

Would picking SF-evocation increase my persistent blade?

I know this may seem a dumb question because its a lvl 1 spell, but i like the little bugger, and his AI is the best of the low lvl summons IMHO.

Necromancy affects both BG and PM summons.
