Ha! You people think you have withdrawl issues? Try being without internet or even a working phone line for nearly a week! I'm totally jonesing here. dfjgofgjlvjnsdklgjhf Whoops sorry about that my hands are STILL shaking. :P

Still, this is not good news. I finally get my connection back up and now I might have trouble playing anyway. Totally uncool.

Actually, I neglected to say that the server had gone down by the time i posted that ;] there was a console announcement that it was shutting down, then it went off for a while.

Good to see it's back for everyone!

It seems like its working for everyone again, but I used

C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN\nwmain.exe +connect 70.191.163.120:5121

and it worked on the first try.

Just to let those know who have connection problems. Just as Celorn had said previously the port seems to have changed from 5121 to 60001 in my case having worked yesterday but not today.

I recommend that if you run a router or are behind a hardware firewall with SPI or packet filtering of some kind to go and add a new filter with outbound port 60001 but block the usual inbound 0-65535 range and it should be fine as it worked for me.

cheers

I still can't connect to NS after 2 days.

The following do not work:
70.191.163.120:5121
70.191.163.120:60001
ns4.gameserve.com:5121
ns4.gameserve.com:60001

Also cannot connect from Gamespy.

Just tried it and no luck... I don't quite get why it works for some people and not others.

Is it my retarded ISP or what?

Can you access your router and forward ports?

Something about the ip change messed with some connections because the dns updates of some isps are very slow.

Ive never seen this port issue pop up in the last 4 years.
