Ragnar didn't like gnomes in RK? lol
or because they're undead... Hence Metis's stories about each factions own turning against them. In battle the dwarves shout "Leave me be."
They want to rest in peace?
Edit:
It's all MA's fault! They're the ones fiddling with the rifts and obsessed with the undead arts!
Edit2:
Not to mention the dwarves are clothed in "Burial armor"

No, the reason the planar dwarves hate other normal dwarves is that they've been peacefully, drunkenly living in Dwarf Home for a Spiritual Eternity. When a dwarf comes in, they have no idea whats going on in the Plane of Better Living, and accidently seem to get in the way of the Planar Dwarves and their ale (and we all know how dwarves get when something or someone gets in the way of their ale).

other dots connected:
They were unbound. If you die when unbound your soul drifts to the planes where you slowly go mad over the millenia... or something like that...
Each of the factions were hostile to each other and protective of their own factions territory in life. In death they retain this fierce drive to protect their new "Dwarf Home"

There is no ale shop, in which you can steal drinkable ale after killing the shopkeep

So IOW, the planes look like this:

Some things I note from this setup (and some totally unfounded speculation to misinform everyone else not aware of the dev team's plans
):
It would seem Inner Planes are on the right of the Nexus and Outer Planes on the left side. My guess is that the right plane for NC would be the Positive Energy Plane or a Plane of Life and the right plane for MA would be the Negative Energy Plane or a Plane of Death. These of course are the remaining traditional Inner Planes typically used in D&D, and the DM have tested planar undead mobs on us which suggests a Negative Energy/Death Plane. And since MA has Pale Master as its PrC, it makes some sense if the faction has a sort of connection to the source of death.
Also, it would seem that the plane are listen top to bottom in order of good and evil, that is Upper planes connected to the left side of the Nexus at the top, and the lower planes near the bottom. Interesting the AO is near the good side in this setup and RK near the evil side. Some possibilities for the planes on the left side:
NC: Possibly something like Arcadia, Mt. Celestia, Bytopia, or Elysium.
AO: Unsure
TC: The Beastlands make the most sense for a nature oriented faction.
LA: Unsure
SL: The Demonweb Pits (appropriate, connecting to the faction dominated by drow).
MA: The Nine Hells or The Abyss. Since MA sorcerers like to summon and enslave demons, it makes sense that they be connected to one of the hellish planes.
What's out of place in Dwarf Home? Cheery Halehaft of course (check the mob description). I wouldn't necessarily say Alzaara...for she is some sort of fiery demon who guards the portal to the Plane of Fire.

Is she a dwarf? Been in there a couple times but with all the dwarves/party members running around in a big crowd you cant actually get a good look at her...
or perhaps a succumbus mascarading as a dwarf and has seducted Ragnar and drove him to insanity with lies!!!
that's actually strangely familiar to a quest i set up for a dnd campaign once...

hmmm... in my campaign i had her working for a balor... MA summons balors through the rifts but why would they go after the dwarves over other factions like TC? Unless they're going after all the factions but we dont know yet cause the other planes aren't out! lol
hmm... who is this alzaara?
oh wait! Sparky said shes a demon.
Alzaara's a demon, succumbi are demons ergo the succumbus works for alzaara!
