so if i understand if i wanna make a brd/ftr/clr , and was planned to go like 12brd/6ftr/2clr and to lvl 30 20brd/7ftr/3clr i will have trouble?

Why would you want to do that? You're missing out on 2 points of BAB if you do it like that. The closest progression you'd want to go would be 9brd/8ftr/3clr for level 20, and then onwards from there. You maximize your BAB and avoid being penalized by the new class restrictions.

its all in the feats useage, need the 2 cleric lvls before going epic, and the 3th clr on 21th lvl, so i save space for the epic feats, who after counting the attack bonus will end up higher than the 2 i loose from the non epic lvls

To answer your question, how I understand it you will have to take 2 more cleric levels with that build before reaching 40th.

Just do 16bard/4 fighter in first 20... Which feats will cleric allow you to take that bard can't?

He's probably going for Divine Might/Shield if throwing in Cleric levels.

MLoki is right, any class you take after 20 you will need to have 5 levels off before reaching level 40

So if I go into level 20 with only 4 levels of another class, I only have to take 1 more level of that class before 40, correct?

if you go into lvl 20 with only 4 lvls of a class, and it is not a prc, monk, or paladin, then you donot have to take anymore lvls of it.

if you take 1 lvl of a class post 20 then you must take 5 lvls regardless.

well....if you take 1 lvl of a class after 20, your total lvls in that class must be 5lvls by lvl 40.

good that i never work my toons out post lvl 31... so if i can't follow i got never troubles with it... even making 20lvl ranger and afterr that 1 or 2 SD and from that point up with ranger or any other class, non SD i will never have to worry about that new rule

I look forward to the pure class bonus and increased balance in general. I like to play do quests solve problems, figure things out. I very much dont like Uber "builds" I think that really damages the role play feel. I want to play in the community not need to know before I start that only certain "builds " will ever be good.
