bah, if i had the time or interest i would make a SD just for your pure pleasure. however, my attention span being what it is i have decided to play a new near power server for a bit to get out of the rut of not using spells to their potential. just so you know, an epic shadow dancer would cause a lot of havoc on the mundane world of ns4.

Epic ranger + SD > epic sd.
They simply can't compare not having the extra camo + one with the land. Its kinda sad ... and maybe something worth looking in to for making more lvls of SD attractive ... but all you gain is a worthless shadow and a bad daze spell.

But, it's such a draining job that, until you've DMed on an NWN server yourself, you the playerbase, have got to cut the DMs some slack. - Flailer
PLUS some times even when you want to take, say, monk and something else, it's WAY more playable to take certain lvls at certain times, and it would be really frustrating, especially to newbs to have so many extra, confusing rules. I'd think keeping it as simple as possible is best, you can crimp all you want but one or two builds will STILL stand above, it's an unbeatable game. Plus if you gimp everything too much, the whole world will be less interesting and less fun, so people will go away.
I think what turns alot of people away from this server are the pros we have running around that have been perfecting builds these years the ns4 has been up ........ The noobs take there time to lvl and when it comes time to test there builds they lose so badly they just quit ... i have seen it happen time and time again ...... I really do think the 5 lvl cap would really help a ton .... Wtf is the point of a sorc taking 1 lvl of pally anyway? just for the saves .... no rp reason what so ever .... The arena mentality around our builds is what is scaring away most people ..... why would some new guy come back after spending 2 months building his fighter just to get squashed by a cheese druid dragon build .... its not the rules that turn new people away its us ......

by epic SD i mean a lvl 40 build with 30 lvls of SD. not sure if the shadow evade would work the way it is supposed to ie. steal the shadows from others hiding in them, but a sd with 30 lvls means his DR for shadow evade would be something like 18/+7 which pretty much means he as epic warding without the fancy mage lvls.

What makes you think i'm going to take 30 lvls of SD? ... Wanna know my plan? .. here it is
... i'll end up like this : 18 cleric / 9 sd / 13 monk ..... took the 9 sd cause I thought if i had more than 2 monk lvls I couldn;t use haste but later found out I could
... oh well atleast no one can say i cheesed built it with 1 lvl of sd.
