I agree that heal kits are great. However, I never play a STR char, and heal kits are extremely heavy, so I've recently switched to potions. A stack of heals weighs about 2 lbs. 99 kits therefore weigh about 20 lbs, and that's a lot if you're not that strong. A stack of potions, on the other hand, only weighs about 0.5 lbs IIRC, which is only a quarter as much. That's about 5 lbs per 99 potions.
I've found that if used correctly, potions can be worth the weight and AoO's you get, if you have decent AC. With my wiz, I'll still run away first if I'm going to use a potion. I do have my heal skill raised pretty well, though, so it's fairly consistent.

When I use a HK I queue a certain amount depending my my HP.
The early level's require only 1.
My level 24 uses atleast 2 when he has about 1/3 health left.
HK also do not provoke an attack of opportunity when using in the middle of combat.
On a take 20 I think my 24 heals 78hp.
Healing Potions are nice in that you only need hit the quickslot and you're using one, HK require a click on the target to be activated. Usually click my portrait in the upper left.

Why is there even a debate on this? Heal Potions are by far better ... this is the reason they cost more. Problem is that they were too much better, hence the economy change.
But, it's such a draining job that, until you've DMed on an NWN server yourself, you the playerbase, have got to cut the DMs some slack. - Flailer
Since elvin is a monopol on the server wide heal potion service, its only natural he pumps up the price on this popular sale.
Heal kits on the other hand is easily aqquired thru crafting, so these prices will ofcouse be lower, or else his sale of these would drop drasticly.
If more clerics or druids where to establish a potion shop, maybe elvin would have to lower his prices too to stay in business

Because it's the only goal in the game!TGPO wrote:I am curious, why the burning need to reach 40th level anyway?
Theres no real missions accept the few jobs, and they are all newbie stuff... theres no big str/wis ring quest, or anything like that... it is beta and they are working on it, so its understandable, but thats why everyone likes lvl 40...
Theres honestly not much to do in the mod once you've been everywhere and killed everything, so we have to entertain ourselves... usualy that means pvp
PvP is something that changes all the time, slightly different each battle, very different each player
I PK because it helps form guilds, it's just fun, challenging, and theres nothing else to do...
