Items 1 and 2 are most likey VERY hardcoded. Item 3 might be a possibility... Let's see what the scripting wizards think lol

Have the game run a script just after you enter the server.
Let this script automatically try to teach you a scroll from each school.
Since they are only level 1 spells no biggie if you get to keep them in your spell book.
However if you are a specialist, one of the scrolls won't work do to prohibited school.
Make the script scan for which scroll wasn't added to spell book due to prohibited school.
Then add an invisible item to the character that signifies they are of a certain school specialization.
Should be easy enough to check for the item then give bonuses for that school specialization.
