NPCs don't use foul language (in real world terms), NPCs don't spam shout all the time with crap, NPCs don't camp out trading areas and attack low level characters, and NPCs in general don't violate server rules. NPCs stay in character. Okies are unpredictable you might say, and that is their value. Fine. Make them stay in character, off shout, use better language, and abide by a reasonable set of rules.
Well...guys here is my opinion....okies are an element, NONE, of us can solve because we don't have DM type powers...the only thing to do is live with it. It sucks...its not all that fair sometimes...but what are you going to do? Lvl up...get better, kill some okies

I am just wanting to know the official stance on okies for NS4 (and/or why they are allowed to grief in NS3). Do all DMs feel the same way such that okies will be allowed to run amok in all factions? Don't say we should merely reply in kind - the last thing we need on the new PW is for chaotic PvP and PP and foul language from everyone.
I believe this should be a topic in the NS3 forums and not the NS4 forums.
When I took in the Vault from North I did so letting everyone know that the rules on south are the rules we follow. It was not until North came to South that the complaints have gotten out of hand.
I have been quite saddened by the way you have all been acting. Logging in the check pms and having 10 complaining about the okies and 20 complaining about the complainers who are complaining about the okies. This is a game, not real life.
Everyone worries about losing their items, items that they can get back in about 10 minutes max. DM Items, they are so easy to come by it's ridiculas. 8 DM tokens are not that hard to get if you earn them. I hear complaints about low level charaters being killed in the CiC, which is NOT a low level area. If you are a low level there leave because it's not meant for you to be there.
You whine about how the Okie killed you in his uber gear --most Okies have g1 or dwarf items, which any of you can get yourself. Very few have DM items and I think only 2 have a DM set. Most of them play with items that drop in the server. They have skills, most of you lack that. You fight based on your gear. It's not all about gear, it's how you build and play your charater. You complain that Okies MUST have stat boosts, they do not.
Okies have whole guilds that set out to kill them, but do they complain? No. If you happen to kill an okie they might drop their head, that will allow you to get 2 DM tokens. But we don't hear thanks for that do we? No, but you will take the head if it's drop won't you? Yes.
Guess what, okies do get in trouble, they have even been banned from time to time.
Now I suggest you all get out of your game life bubble and realize there is a real world outside the window and that what you see on this computer is just a game.
If you don't like the way the Okies play, then I would suggest trying to avoid them. Most (not all) South players have learned how to deal with them, bettering their own player skills while doing so.
Ah, but no fear about all those old items you are worried about losing, "soon" it will not matter.

well said Mz
and as i can attest to, all you have to do is ask other players how to deal with theese situations. How much help did Mr give me? a ton. youll always get the players that say if i put points in spot i dont have enough for tumble. well like all other choices in this game, one general comes at a cost of another. do I start with all 12 stats to be more well rounded or just put everything in con and primary skill? its a trade off. If you plan to pg then realize you open yourself up to certain vunerabilities. but thats your choice.

I tend to agree with Mz (too bad she's DM of the enemy )
The okies are part of the experience and just like the 'normal' players there are ones who abuse shout or the rules. Others seem correct and fair, but lets be honest, they add a lot of excitement to the module.
Okay, it's never funny when you're killed by a high lvl char, when you're only lvl 4, but the same can happen when you venture into unknown terrain and stumble upon a dragon. You can always run or call for help.
Me, the times I met an Okie, I always got killed. Maybe I'm a bad player/ character builder, but I learned to live with that. (now don't think I'm accusing you all of building lousy chars!! I'm speaking for myself here)
It's only a game and you can get revenge Revenge is a dish best served cold, with an okie head as a main course

Introduction:
i have few posted messages in my profile; i never played on south;
i started my NS experience on Central server and i haven't been playing since Central vault was merged with cluster one. and luckily i've never met a Okie.
But i have heard any type of complaints from any kind of players.
Now let's analyze some replies here:

What does it mean???? must we live that way??? what about rules enforcements? after all rules exist, then rules must be respected.
i know that South has different rules that are called by South-fans ROLEPLAYING!!!
well i'm not a D&D expert or a veteran RP gamer (after all i cannot stand heavy 100% RP) but RP shouldn't be what i've heard okies do. i'm sure that there are "good" okies that roleplay their roles (assassins, thieves, ...) but there are griefers too.

Mz_Shadow i have nothing against you, nothing against your server and nothing against okies and after all South is your server and you can manage it your way but reading your post i assume that new players cannot explore NS world because they risk their lifes and they cannot do that because of some griefers that kill them. that's ridicolous!!!
i don't hate anyone but in this topic i've read some silly things and i have felt the need to reply. i forgot to quote some other things but my time is over. bye bye. Peace & Love

Dart ... (GH) on NS4
Missing NS3 Central Community too bad.

Actually what I was saying is this. If you are level 1-14 you should not be in that area to begin with. And you should not be there alone if you are level 15-20.
You claim the Okies doing these things but several guilds and individule players do it as well.
If you are going to explore when you are level 10 don't go to the upper areas to do it, at least don't go alone.
How many of you know where Giant Mountian is or the Mysterious Cave? or even the Secret Area? and how many of you have several level 40 charaters in your vault?
Explore where the level lets you.

What are you talking about. Staying in character, rolplaying? This is not RP server. Live with it!

I have to admit there have been times where i spent hours collecting all the free traps i could find in ns and then going to cloud city or the mirk and laying traps all over and hiding in a corner to watch the ensueing mayhem.
I have had the same thing done to me, buff out side enchanted forest, take a step set off 30 deadly traps and die with a 20th level char hehe. its fun. it adds to the game. i mean if every thing always reacted the same way, was in the same place, all the time, dont you think that would get boring?

just a word in to laugh at
everyone says we are disarm and PP monsters
my okie character has no item or gold in his inventory at all because people pp him so much, hes a monk so he doesent need weapons.. like the other night mz gave us okie heads to hand out to people that kill us, when someone finaly killed my i popped open my inventory and all 3 of the heads had been PP'ed thats 6 dm tokens lol
i just think its funny that you think we are so bad and pull this stuff

Me me!..
*Remembers his first char ever in ns3, lvling in the giant mountain and dieing by the giant bosses and goes nostalgic. Remembers his Gulch Plate and gets even more nostalgic.
Remembers the trips through roads to avendell and giant pass. Sighs*
