I am of the opinion that the best defence is a good O-fence!! (case in point would be Beefy Walters MD, low ac, low 60's ab, but huge strength and a scythe, i ate a few dirt sandwiches on account of this simple but very effective build) Don't try to make a character that's average at everything, try to make a character that's awesome at one thing. If you keep losing pvp battles with high ac chars, make a friend with a mage and have your opponent morded a few times, 65 ac and 60 ab will suddenly not be so bad. Many of the "old timers" who run around a kill everyone they wish, are actually fairly nice people. Ask for Advice, (not a build) and i bet you wont be turned down.
