Well, I can't speak for the other DM's, but some are surely of a similar mind, when I hold and event, I tend to hold it for as many people as are willing to participate from any faction. The reason is simple, though this may be a "realm at war", we have to be fair to as many people as possible.
Unless we're able to hold faction specific events for every faction within a reasonable timeframe, unwarranted talks of favoritism are bound to occur. And you would be surprised at how many people are willing cry "fie and favoritism" when even the simplest things don't go their way. And certaintly, most events rate higher than the simple category.
Just 2 cents from this DM's perspective, if you've even wondered why I haven't hosted many faction specific events.

the sad thing is i have witnessed this. sad but true.
what if a guildline were to be put in kind of limiting a dm's event schedual to his own specific faction.
i know that dm's have lives too, and it may take adding 1 or 2, but i am sure it could be done.
Lathander do events for NS. Torm or Tyr for NC. Moradin or Calangadin for RK... ect.
And i am not saying that you have to have a dm for every god, but aslong as said dm is logged as a certain god they are limited to events for that gods faction.
So basicly you check the server log when you join to see what faction is most active at that time, log one of their gods and do an event for them.
cross them off the list and move on. you dm's and other staff can keep a list somewhere secret sayin who has had events done for them and just work your way down.
i understand the politics of it all, but i just want dm's to encourage the war like feeling of seperation that should be inplace between the factions.
more blood,.......... less hands across neversummer, get rid of grades, your special in your own way, socialist garbage.
however i understand you can only do what you can do.
so that all being said play on, and if possible lets let this thread ramble on for a few pages to see what other dm's and players think. so far there hasnt been any real flaming. could be a positive conversation.
