New friends in town
AO's defender is quite nice i must say.... well balanced and can pack a punch if you arent expecting him to be there

the defenders def make for an interesting twist
1 isnt bad but 5 of them r deadly
(ill think twice about raiding TC from now on esp when TC gods are about )
so far ive only fought the LA and TC defenders
LA archers: good spot, good HP, took 5 igms at near death and was still launching arrows
TC trackers r nasty, rapier? and a mace iirc, lots of sneak dmg
look forward to fighting the rest though

Re: New friends in town
Is there a particular function which determines their spawn, or is it a completely random event? I think its been a week+ since I last saw the AO defender, and he was hired to help defend when the others logged.......Metis wrote:They do not always spawn in the cradle area you may go days without seeing them then on every spawn.
Though I have run into the LA Sharpshooter on several occassions.
But, it's such a draining job that, until you've DMed on an NWN server yourself, you the playerbase, have got to cut the DMs some slack. - Flailer
the ao defender isnt always in the best of locations ...he was off to the side once and completly out of sight of the cradle...im pretty sure hes there more often than u may think, but unlike la, rk, ma etc...cradel areas, ao's is an entire large zone

Had a couple of encounters yesterday while raiding:
Coalition Enforcer: Wields a flaming greatsword. He actually took out my (lower lvl) Bard, as I had not been expecting a high level defender. When I came back with my cleric, he wasn't all that hard, though it took a while to wear him down. Seems his attacking strength is about that of a buffed Solar. Pretty good HP, too.
Ascendancy Warlock: Auto-quicken mage. I'll admit this was my first time raiding the MA cradle, so I wasn't sure which path to take. By the time I got to the cradle side, he was fully buffed. He unleashed an array of various offensive spells, casting like mad. The main disappointment with him was that after about a minute, he is empty, and can but hit with a staff (lol?). Although, I must credit him with having a pretty good buffed AC.
