Ring a Ring a Roses, Pocket Full of Pwnage
I've tried to balance this in more ways than one.
Logging a Monk in next to a cradle and then running around in circles from the NPC defenders (because they would murder you) until it gives you the relic was a pretty pathetic tactic that we saw being used.
However, grabbing relics should not 'have' to be about tanking it out with half the server. If you are sneaky you can still have all of the defenders killed before the cradle alerts anyone that you are there.
There has been a lot of talk in the past about Sleeth for example having a open area for a relic cradle home. Now, the advantage to this (apart from the dragon really coming into play now) is that attackers have a potentially larger search area to purge the defenders.
The braziers in the Wolf Den were adjusted to allow dragonshapes a bit more room. I meant to fix that for you guys ages ago, but forgot all about it.
The order of relic giving will not change. All of the cradles have a different give order so the balance is achieved in this kind of format
1234567
2345671
3456712
4567123
5671234
6712345
7123456
So keep giving me your lunch guys, I'll be happy and get fat for sure, but you'll die of painful hunger and starvation first.

Relic Raiding.
Aside from now having to fight the "New Defender NPC's" this changes nothing for me and I am a Monk.
I always kill anything in the relic chamber before approaching the cradle. I mean who wants anything left to delay or get in your path.
I will check the new raiding barriers tonight. It sounds like fun.

You will always get your home faction relics out of a Cradle first if it contains it.
This is because your relic is the most important.
Then you will get the cradles own relic if it contains it.
This is to allow handicap attacks and to encourage defense.
Then the order cycles as above.
For balance.

I would just like to mention that when you are raiding now the following strategy is in place.
Kill all of the defenders in the area and then approach the cradle, assuming you got them all, the message hits the server that you are there while the Cradle 'weakens', but no PC can log to defend without suffering the penatly.
If a defending PC spots you doing this before you touch the cradle and they decide to inform the entire server everyone can log right in without penalty to defend.
However, if you run in and touch the cradle immediatly the message that the cradle is being attacked hits the server but you are immediately protected against log defenders. However, you need to dispatch the NPC defenders before you can grab the goodies and that might be enough time for PC defenders to get to the area....
Food for thought. Depending on the area and the attacking party I can see both methods being useful.

Once a server-wide 'Cradle is being raided' type message appears certain areas near to that cradle are out of baounds for normal logging in.
If you do log into one of these areas then your toon is ported approximately 3 maps away and handed a temporary speed decrease.
The area list is currently under review. If you find a player logging in very close to the Cradle during a raid please let me know.

Does the 3 map rule apply to interior maps?
Using MA as an example you would have the interior of the tower of sorcery as 1 map and garagoth itself would be a 2nd map.
Would the 3rd map be the road to garagoth or possibly another interior map such as the smithy in garagoth.
Or would you be ported to the first map outside garagoth road?
Lastly does this rule apply to all toons of that faction?
Say I have a toon in garagoth and log out and later log back in after taking a break and there is a raid in progress do I get ported out?
Is there a level limit, say toons over 20th level that are affected?

A: Not at this time. I wouldn't mind allowing level 12 and under to be unaffected. Good idea, might add this later on.
