Hey, don't blame me this time, I didn't play last night!

Seriously, though...try not to take it so hard. I've gone an entire weekend doing that. I once made repeated runs to Sunken and had a full set of just about everything - like 3 times - and lost it all - like 3 times.

The server will continue to crash here and there, it's as certain as death and taxes. IMHO, we're very lucky to have a server that's this involved to play on at all.

Honestly, it is often quite random as to how much or what is lost in a crash. While starting some new characters I was with 2 other players and had gone from 1st to 6th in a matter of hours. None of us had logged out when the server crashed. 1 player lost all the gear he had found and was still 6th level while another rolled back to 1st level with nothing. Somehow, with using my book and occasionally looking at my inventory and character sheet I managed to not get affected other then perhaps a small loss in xp. It is a known issue and has been brought up many times in the past.

Since no solution has been found for this, the only safe way of saving your character is to log off. Do so often and after every major transfer or level and the roll back won't be so bad if and when it does happen.
