Using heal pots in PvP

I will absolutely use Healing Kits or Heal Pots when defending my relic cradle. Otherwise, I really don't even think about it while fighting and will heal or not depending on the situation. I do agree however that while dueling healing pots aren't a test of skill and should not be used as an aid in the battle.
