yes, really nice area i cant give u much feed back on mobs and stuff i smashed the goint with a lvl 35 to get some gear but an excellent loking map layout and nice work on the actual monsters .

Quite obvious that a lot of thought went into not only them but what they are carrying.

Again well done , just one question - that trident i picked up of the guardains it says base item = trident so im assuming that u can not take focuses in it or take it as wpn master wpn of choice ?? or perhaps it counts asa spear for these ?

thanks you a great job.

It wouldn't be hard to change the base item entry to a spear and still leave the look as a trident, would it?

No, but we like tridents - even if they don't have feat support yet...

Is the Mezzoloth Slicer supposed to be lvl 13 or 9 'cause it can be used by a lvl 9?

Went in there with a fairly balanced party of 6: a lvl 8, 2 lvl 9s, 2 lvl 10s and a lvl 12. With buffs from the cleric and the bard in the party we did quite well, even against a couple of wizards and a guardian at one point. But when ambushed by two wizards, at least one guardian, and various others, we found ourselves overwhelmed and soon most of the party was down. Then it was too late. The wizards summoned reinforcements and the rest of our party fell.

I went there with my 19th-level Paladin/CoT and found the place quite interesting. I could solo the warriors, scouts, wizards and rogues with ease by just being careful and not atracting too many of them. The archers were pretty lethal at first, but then I learn to avoid them until they were alone or kill first before the melee'ers could attack me.

The guardians seemed pretty hard, however, as a single guardian with no backup almost killed me twice. He could almost always hit me and do some good damage. When I found a guardian and an archer together, I could not survive and died pretty quick.

I think guardians seem a little hard for CR 17 creatures, since they still owned me. All the other Mezzoloths seemed to be in their right CR's.

Maybe it is my gear that is lacking somewhat (I have not a lot of good gear), however.

concerning the items of the mezzoloth are they all 13th? if so some fixing is in order

arrows can be used by 9th or higher, these are obviously 13th level due to their 1d10 damage bonus

stalkers boots, these to me look like 9th level gear 1 ac and 3 dex is 9th bonuses the hs ms bonuses carry less weight and value than the reflex save bonus on other 9th level boots so i can see these as 9th level. if they are ment to be 13th then either make the ac 2 and the dex 4 like other boots or drop the hs and ms to 3 each and keep them 9th

if these items are messed up on the level restriction then im shure the rest of the gear is aswell so some tweaks are in order

No actually one of the things I really like about there is the gear can range from 9-16 depending on which one of them you kill.

ok me and kromix went there last night to check it out.

justa few suggestions.

1) make the drop rate on the kama a little lower. we picked up 3-5 more kamas than any other item.

or mabay make it that they only drop one. on a few it dropped then 2 at a time.

2) make the saves on the boss a little higher. I found it funny I couldn't implode the guardians but didn't even have to buff for the boss.

3) I think some of the items need to either be scaled to normal item standars if necessairy but all in all it is a great area.

pretty decent xp for levels 13 - 19 and for those who want to they can grind there till prob 22.

first impressions were wow this place is a mess but it is awesome since even at level 18 I almost died a couple of times due to surprise attacks.

all in all wonderfull new area and I was shocked at how close it is to avendell. even if u run there its real nice place.

Let me guess you went in there with almost epic builds and you say mobs should be toughened up? The area is thought as a new way for the crowders of the Mountain Trail, not for the almost lvl 20 chars.

On another note. I liked it, that it is impossible to solo or even to go in there with small support (one or two more players, depending on their build) if you are under or the same lvl as the Scorpaurs (from Zentaurs) or Scorpionmen. You should at least bring a party of four or more (lvls 11-15). Especially archers and wizards are scary.

The spawns are very well set and it's surprising what enemy will await at the next turn. What I miss in there, is a Beholder. Maybe give the boss the possibility to summon a gaunt :).

Read it again, Yoda, you are writing too many posts and often just... Well let's net get too personal here. I didn't say they were epic characters. And that it is possible to solo them with a SD build, Im aware. Though I dont want to build one yet. Any other intelligent request?

Although I agree with the save against implosion, the boss should have at least the same saves.

The Mezzos have moved out of the caves and are all over the Ash mountains now. Even a few on the Silver road. They are spreading like a plague.

So only real change is guardians are a bit rough? Which part. ab, dmg ac?
How about the boss. is he hard enough. does he die too fast etc?
