It can partly be abused still even if you respawn... if they hit you with death magic at just the right time, or if they use KD, your char will get up but not be sent to the other area.
This could be fixed by moving and THEN healing the dead player, instead of healing and then moving him

i think thats a good idea but i would also like it if we had a respawn area that makes you wait like a few mins till you can go back to your bind point . that would make pvp all the more fun cause you couldn't respawn and charge the same person right away like in faction cities or bind points.

Just what I needed, more incentive to go back to designing stuff for Unreal and wait for NWN2 :x  :x

I had a strong suspicion that NWN2 was tolling the death-bell for NS4, and if you read between the lines of Lokey's comment it's pretty much confirmed. It's a shame, but also an inevitability. What ISN'T inevitable is that NS4 die before it's replacement is even on the shelves. In fact, dropping it now will only hinder the success of it's next incarnation.

What the Devs may want to consider is the fact that the current NS4 player base will probably go on to be the core base of NS5 (or whatever the NWN2 version will be). How many of us transitioned over from NS3... I know a lot of us did. Letting your player base dwindle into nothing while you wait for the next technology means that you'll lose the people who know this module best. You'll lose the people who actually care about what happens to it (and those most likely to donate).

I really enjoy playing NS4 despite the development stagnation we've had for months now. I can totally understand getting burned out working on an aging game engine when there's new stuff right around the corner. All I ask of the Devs is to keep this place alive a little longer, and maybe even try to grow the player base again by fixing some of the mortal wounds that the mod suffers from currently (I think Term summed them up nicely). Think of it as investing in your future NS5 players.

Death-knell?

Nah, I just like to complain about the hurdles in the game to making something I consider fun out of it. There's a few more things I've promised to do that I can hopefully finish up in short order. NWN2 sounds like a lot of the things that annoy us most will be addressed along with much better visuals and dev tools, but it's probably at least a year until we see something beta from Obsidian...was hoping for some screenies from E3 though :(

E3? Ha! Good luck seeing anything not a console.

I watched part of it on g4tv.com... I saw a gal wearing angel wings... is that the console to which you refer ? :-)
