Personally I agree with the xp cap for killing lower level enemies.
Haven't been able to fight anything >6 above my own level, but I bet if I did kill a cr30 while being a lvl22 I would get a nice chunk of xp to add to my pile, even if it's the same amount that I would get for a cr29.

This has happened before, the devs make a change and ppl get po'd.
Don't get po'd because you have to change your play, take it as a challenge to learn to become a better player, take it as a challenge to find ways to improve your build, take it as a challenge to find better gear for your character.
Howmany people have actually gone out and explored the entire world of NS, not just the same old xp hunting grounds? Where does Angmar live? Where does Quit'yot live? Where does Varnessikla live? Where do you get those monk gloves that have sweet d10 damage on them but have the nasty -4 con?
Maybe if you went out and explored, you would find a place where you are godly strong to the enemy and get sweet xp as a reward for slaughtering them.

When faced with adversity there's two kinds of ppl, those that [censored], complain, and quite, then there's those that step up, take the hit, and say, "screw this poo (these words of rhyme are an edit to soften what i said initially...), I'm gonna move forward and prove that I am better, I will find a way"

Which are you?

P.S. I'm the second kind, I'm so 8)

How much XP did you get from the Frostdale Defenders?
But, it's such a draining job that, until you've DMed on an NWN server yourself, you the playerbase, have got to cut the DMs some slack. - Flailer

So you're admitting to lying about seeing all the areas and killing every type of mob. :D

deathdearler1; have you ever been to the slave refuge before? I've never been there before i found it today. I will not tell where it is, since its a secret, and i urge the rest of you not to share it with the public on the forums how to get there either. But i think it proves that you some times fall over things you didn't even know was there

there were actually some zones that took me a few months to find and stumble upon. however i have been on this since day one so i can safely say that there isn't very much i don't know about. like before binding to hostile rift shards i knew a shortcut to Daeron that had a nice hidden shard that most defenders never worry about.

Well, I've only been on for about 2 months or so, but in that time, I've explored a big chunk of the game. I've always enjoyed a certain amount of exploration. I seem to be in a minoirty though, because for most players it seems to be, "Ok kill rats and stuff for the first few levels, then do Rock Peak maus, move on to Ordean Caves, then Gnoll Pits, and finally raid NS". Then again, a lot of people seem to make LA characters, maybe that's because they're pretty close to Avendell and all the usual xp spots, and the increased speed item is a useful thing to have as well.

Jester, the only thing I don't know at all that you mentioned is Varnessikla. I stumbled into Angmar (and died) so I know where he is (not hard to guess anyway). Never seen Quit'yot, but I'm pretty sure I know where that is, though the area was broken when I found it. I've sen the gloves, one of my fellow brethren looted it, and I guessed correctly where he found it.

Never seen the slave refuge either. I'm assuming it's hidden behind a secret door somewhere. That should make it more fun to try to find. I know there's GOT to be a secret door in a certain crypt in the game, because when I explored everything I could see on the map, I only had the right half explored. I know there's something there on the other side, but I can't find the secret door that leads there, and it's driving me a little nuts. :) There's lots of stuff in this PW that's hidden pretty well; the ways to the gnolls or the lower part of the ancient road can be easy to overlook if you don't know they're there.

hey if you explore the right hand side of that crypt then go to the Demon of Destruction you'll see the left hand also...nice little suprise being that close to him and not being able to get there. a few of us tried to find a door that but to no avail.
