okies?

its when okies camp the popular low level leveling areas like air that it gets lame. frankly i've never seen an okie win a fight against a character of the same level.

okies wont be a problem in ns4

seeing as they cant steal your weapons cause they go to your inventory(as afore mentioned) and if your killed by another player, you take no XP/gold penalty, the only problem they could cause is PPing during combat(which they havent done as of yet).

the only real problems i forsee with okies is the typical jack [censored] attitude that you find all to common in FPS's(i.e. I rapz0red your [censored] you looser n00b), and if they dont pull this kinda [censored], i'll be just fine with fighting them... they claim to be RPers... so lets see them prove it...

There is no fun in logging in to them claiming they own the city of clouds and killing every one there .... I am sick of seeing them get away with this cheating they have to have a reason to pk me and them being Evil is not good enough it states that in the rules i have seen them pk ppl while selling goods and pp dead bodies and I am sorry Trully MZ but you protect them and ok every thing they do i just saw them pp some one's DM pain while they where dead and tell them they cant have it back unless they give them 4 DM tokens they bought it once they dont need to buy it again..............................

I am the aforementioned loser of the Pain. I am sending 12 SS to Mz and Delah (cuz those are the two DMs I see on most often). Desamus, I don't know whether Mz protects the Okies or not, but I trust her to follow the server rules and south's house rules in this (which say I was wronged horribly

). If none of the south DMs are willing to punish the Okies...well we'll see about that when the time comes.

Air==Air Plane? It's impossible to be in air at a low level.

level 15 through 25 is low to a level 40.

and toxic, i have experienced first hand okies camping air. so don't give me none of that.

I hate to say it but I feel this is a 50/50 shot. Since I started playing (no not that long ago I know) I have only seen ONE DM even come close to keeping the okies bound to the server rules that all the rest of us must play by and that was Nala who is new. When this sort of thing is brought up to DM's the response is usually in the line of "I bet you arent telling the truth" or "thats how we play here get used to it or leave".

It appears that you are automatically assumed to be in the wrong in a situation where an Okie is involved. I even have personal experience with this though I am not going to get into who besides myself was involved.

I know that there have been a lot of people complaining about the Okies and the things that they do and get away with and it seems from things I have heard that the DM's really don't care that we don't like it. I mean if they did wouldn't there be some sort of response besides "learn to live with it or go away" or "I bet you arent telling the truth".

You can see the okies in game bragging about killing and not rezing and useing foul language and you can see the same things in IRC. I personally have never seen a DM do anything to them (I only heard about the Nala thing second hand in IRC I wasnt in game at the time) either in game OR in IRC.

MAYBE if enough people speak up about this there will be some changes in NS4 so that this sort of behavior wont be allowed but I expect that will come from the other DM's and that it would have to be a LARGE portion of the player base. From the lack of concern that is apparent now I would think at least 75% of the players would have to complain at one time in one thread. Take the 75% as a challenge if it helps to get more people to post there dislike for this issue.

After having read about NS4 I would really Love to Play it, it looks like the Dev's have put an amazing amount of work into it. It appears that they are serious about putting together a truely Epic Mod. It would be very sad if after all this work they were just going to allow one group to do as they please when they please to the detrement of other players.

My "Hope" is that since this will not be hosted on South any more but the cluster that at least some of the Other DM's get involved to handle this situation. Well it's a hope anyway.

Yes I dropped the issue as it pertains to NS3 because I truely don't believe that anything will be done about it there reguardless of how many people complain.

You can consider this to be my formal complaint against the okies in this thread.

I (currently) have total faith in the south DMs, but if for some reason or another they refuse to constrain the Okies to the same rules as everyone else I will try and talk to higher up people. And if noone seems to think the Okies breaking the rules that make this server a fun and OK place to play, then maybe its not the place for me to play anymore. NS3 or NS4. There is nothing wrong with a guild holding CitC or another place for ransom. Co3 does it on south all the time. The problem arrises when the rules about rezzing and about fair fighting on things like disarm are blatantly broken. Even outside of those rules, the Okies show ABSOLUTELY no respect for their fellow players in a way which at the very least can border on harrassment. Well, thats the end of my rant...for now.

throst only reason why everyone things they can take okies is cause okies left south and so now and then 1 of em returns cause hes bored or something..atleast in my case.

i can remember tho you running away at lv 30 from a lv 20 rogue.......and hey yes can it be it was named OKIE

I don't see why everyone hates okies. I find them to be very funny and a good addon to predictable monsters AI.

I think the reason why people dislike the okies so much is that they violate server/NS3 rules and nothing happens to them. The rest of us try to be good citizens and play within the rules, and all the okies do is cause grief. Their attitude and language is clearly not RP, nor appropriate given what is usually enforced on the forums and servers. Okies cheat and non-cheaters feel they should be punished - yet they are not.

Think about this: if everyone acted like an okie, NS would be a miserable place to be.
