Alright, my mental image of haddon mirk is a big "U", so i usually enter it from around the LA city areas, i guess from silver road, and then i start on the right side of this swampy U. So i usually go south, hit the wall of no area transitions, and then head left a couple areas, then north into the Dark Forest(i believe that's the correct name, but it is a forest anyway.) And in this area(south of the mountains) I immediately head left on the road, go thru a rickety wooden gate, and right there are a bunch of wood elf chicks with crafting stuff.
Oh, and btw, if you ever figure out what the stats are on their staves, or if they drop their leather armor, i'll be interested :)

For example, i've been at artisan crafting for awhile now as a ranger/bard(currently 23/3). And i only found out earlier that apparently taking a restrictive class restricted you even if you were mainly a class that could achieve whatever rank. So apparently the devs have changed it so that now your most lvl'd/first class is taken as that which will restrict you.
I don't think it's working like this in all instances. 22 wiz/3 pm and I'm still stuck at Artisan.

BTW - were you able to hit Master Artisan at a normal crafting table, or did you have to head to an extended table to make the rank (in addition to needing it to craft Master Artisan level items)?

I hit it at Melencia if i recall correctly, but either way, it wasn't at a master artisan table.

And someone posted a list of lvls in a class that are req'd to hit each crafting lvl, and that makes sense. For master artisan it was lvl19 in the class, but i'll check now and see if it's an in-game notice.

[Edit:] It is, a lot of crafting info is now listed on the crafting signs when examined.

There's decent information on the levels & class types in the documentation forums (the link off the main page isn't working, so check the forum index).

After laughing at myself, I decided to post this. I've been walking all the way to li norarla, which is a couple servers away from Melencia, b/c the fletching tables in Melencia's archer shack don't even go up to artisan(i believe, but they almost definately aren't master artisan). However, while i was near elvin in Melencia, i tried out the outdoor crafting tables, and those are master artisan fletching ones. So i've been wasting about 1 hr walking across the game, when the things i wanted were right in my backyard. It's funny, and I feel pretty stupid now, but anyway, there's another confirmed location of them.

Just got Master Artisan in Armor Crafting.
Need 15/- resist? I got it.
Though I must admit that the Imbued Northern Armor from Daeron is better overall. For straight physical damage reduction, the silvery armor and shields are probably the best when mixed with a proper armor or shield.

From what I can remember:

The stats for the helm are:
+4 ac
+4 vs fear
+4 vs mind affecting
+6 spot
+6 listen

Stats for armor is:
+3 ac (got screwed over here, weapons get +4, but only +3 for armor and shields :( )
+25% slash immune
15/- resist slash
60% of base weight

Bracers:
+5 ac (armor bonus)
+4 fort saves
(probably good for rogues, don't need str for damage or ab, so if you don't mind carrying less then you're set)

Shields:
Same as armor except for weight reduction.
2 shields of each size, 1 vs peirce, 1 vs bludgeon.

Funny thing about the two armors offered is that they are the same stats, but have different costs :?

Personally I think the silvery armor and shields should have +4 ac bonuses like the helm.
And for the armor make it 25% vs all physical damage types.
For the shields make it 25% vs main damage type, and 10% for the 2 secondary types.
Finally add some saves, +1 uni save on the armor and shields. So you would have +2 uni save if using silvery armor and shield.

For the helm remove the save vs fear and mind-affecting and make it a straight +4 will saves.

Then for the bracers add some +str, +4 maybe.

Before you start any criticisms on the stat proposals for the armor, remember that it costs >5000 xp to craft just 1 suit of armor.
Also as of right now you can get better armors with 90% less effort and time, and probably near 50k less xp spent.
Consider that you can easily charge 1000 gold for every 1 xp, that's some damned expensive gear.
50,000,000 gold just to have the ability to create the stuff.
Another 5,000,000 gold for the armor...

And one last crappy thing, I crafted myself a helmet, and eventhough I can craft it at level 19, I need to be 20 to use it...

Holy [censored], those xp costs are terrible. I'd say the shields need work, and i like the idea of making them +4 with 10- resist to two dmg type in addition to what they currently are. Maybe a little more even, like 15- resist.

They are resistant to 15/- right now.
I was saying add 10% immune to slash and peirce to the bludgeon shield which has 15/- resist bludg and 25% immune bludg
Same with the peirce shields that have 15/- resist peirce and 25% immune peirce, add 10% immune to slash and bludg.

So with wearing Silvery Full Plate and a Silvery Peirce Tower Shield you would get 35% immune slash, 35% immune peirce, 20% immune bludgeon, 15/- resist slash, 15/- resist peirce, 19ac (excluding dex), and +2 uni saves with my suggestions above.

The shields are cheaper on the xp than the armor, but still aren't cheap.

it's cheaper to craft depending on where you are.. like if you are in RK you are going to be able to craft armour for cheaper than anywhere else..
Type post, tab tab enter, wait 4page 2 load, shift+tab tab enter, REPEAT!!!

Ah, k. I was thinking you were asking for 10/- resist to two dmg types in addition, which i don't think is so bad since you're losing 25% elemental resist by using a crafted shield, and perhaps the higher lvl req than the other dropped shields would be another thing to add to their power.

Ya, but it's not like you have a lot of choices as to where you can craft Master Artisan gear. Only place for crafting Master Artisan Armor is Gnolls as far as I know.

It's next to Haddon Mirk, just off from Deep Woods, not the Deep Woods that you get to from Southern Pass however but the area from Western Slope etc.
I sense a soul in search of answers...
