Whatever we say or do here we can’t stop people healing in pvp without taking it out of the game and that would make PVM very difficult if no one could heal.

Has my heal pot throttling code not helped at all in this area? Are we mainly talking about spells/kits and not pots?

Kits or pots, they can still extend a fight indefinitely. Pot throttling helps, but just makes it more pricy.

Potion throttling doesn't help in PvP.

PvP isn't like PvM where you just stand there and land hits every other swing. It takes a lot of work to take some builds down, and a single potion can negate all of your progress.

I liked the idea of somehow suppressing healing in faction zones. At least that won't hurt leveling and pvm (at low levels when you are still in faction areas, even a weak heal potion is more than enough to bring you to full hp.)

Heal kits are a bit ridiculous last I checked, and for their price they need some adjusting I believe. Heal pot throttling works like a charm. If someone has the time and money it takes to stock a character with heal pots then so be it. Maybe make them more expensive. The only thing I've fought that can reliably pot chug against a beat down artist and survive indefinitely is 30 DwD. I think the current state of affairs where people consider it bad form is fine. Then when someone uses a heal potion you can call them a Pug Chotter (I think Nyeleni actually typed that one night a long time ago. I like to hurl that at people who chug in pvp with me, for it's levity). If you're angry that someone got a pot off before you could kill them, well, then the game isn't fun anymore. I know I don't get angry at people for pot-chugging. It isn't worth it. Start calling pot chuggers 'tep wannabes :P

Cleric healing, uhhh, I'm an abuser. However, I've killed cleric healers even as they were heal spamming, you just have to have the right beat down artist to get it done. Are the odds stacked in their favor, they sure are, best way to kill a cleric, have a counterspeller and a beater. Or a good stunner. If the cleric has to use a hellball, counter with one of your own, if he has to break contact to get away, well isn't that a win, forcing withdrawal? I always thought it was.

I mean healing or no healing. I was against it long time ago but the server changed and see builds like cleric/monk/? and get away with full heals, restoration spells, and etc... Then the stunning fists come into play and what? If you take skill points in healing in your build there should be no reason not to use them. I mean really is it that a pain in the arse? Go lvl and enjoy. :P
