This game makes us sad, mad, glad. What a wonderous place.
This is a sad incident. I've met/helped new toons the past month that are no more. What will happen to the new players to our community? I hope they come back for those fresh minds improve us. I was excited about my new toon with her build possibilities. I will look back only to recall what I did wrong to improve that toon. I learned, I experienced, I swore (to myself silently), I enjoyed.
Appreciated are the volunteers involved to make this game a place where we return. Thank you. This will be a fun time as we all work to regain our XP. The DM's will be there to include a few balors among the ogres and wolves. We will group together in those moments and giggle again.
Oh, btw...I will never forget watching Gorm bowing down to Torm's idol. Hmmm, maybe we should insist he do it again for the records.

This was an unfortunate incident. Like everyone else i invested many hours on my builds in the last month. My concern with coming back now is that I will re-invest all that time and there will be server wipe when the new server is up and running. Is there any chance of that happening? Thank you to all the Devs, DMS, and volunteers who make this the best server and most addictive game ever!

You are correct.

I realize it was not intentional and I posted this in a moment of frustration so I'd like to apologize for my above words. Thanks for everything the staff does for us on this server. I haven't been around very long compared to most on this server but I must say that I'm having a blast so keep up the good work. BTW, the new server is really smooth.

The new server is up and running now. So no, there won't be a wipe when we move to the new server.
Well, heh...in this case I am really happy that I hadn't put a whole lot of effort in over the last few weeks. My 10 collective levels lost are not all that much compared to what some lost, and now I can look for more books!
*Edit* This also means that the whole accidental-clicking-on-an-enemy-shrine-and-setting-my-deity-to-something-heinous thing never happened! JOY!
Congratulations to the staff on a *mostly* successful migration to a new server and software platform!!

The new server is pretty spiffy - reboots seem to be complete before I can even click through the the menus to relogin. Almost no lag, even with the massive numbers of DM spawned mobs.

Yes, even with the leveling event yesterday which had litterly a hundred sharks with lazer beams, parrtos with bbguns, cows with gas and balors on parade, there was only a few momnets of percievable lag.
