Just to chime in, I wouldn't chose drow just for the bonus exp. This isn't a race to reach level 40.

FYI - I have an issue with playing humans or human subs... They seem unable to walk in a straight line and the jump back and lag is not worth whatever they may offer...

The only thing having a deity on a cleric dose is change your darkfire damaged to what your faction gives if you have no deity you just get stranded fire.

As for a race for a cleric it depends which best sutes your build and what abilities they give you want.

For example, my battle cleric plan was githyanki or half ogre, whereas my caster cleric is an aasimar.

hehe, I think you misunderstood me, and I can see why. I meant race as in a competition to be the fastest. Just pick whatever works the best for your build.

Drow is good for the ability bonuses, for powers not available to other races, and you get a favored class XP bonus for a female cleric. THe xp helps make up for the fact that drow is ECL 3, so gets less xp in general (you get the favored class XP bonus on level up, and it's 100 xp/previous level, I think). I'm not sure if the favored class bonus makes up for the ECL penalty.

Other races have other bonuses - githzerai, for instance, get +2 to wis, as do a couple other races. Some races (outsider) give boosts to summons (look under summons in the wiki). Some races have restrictions, however, primarily to alignment - genasi have to be neutral aligned (N, NE, NG, LN, or CN) and have to take the domain that matches there plane, and tieflings (maybe not the first choice for cleric anyway) must be evil) - check to make sure you can take the race you choose in The CIrcle.

Subraces are selected when you first go into NS4, AFTER the toon is created, so you have to make sure you account for this when you're rolling up your character. A little tricky - I messed one up the other day - I made the alignment CE, and when I went to select subrace, fire genasi was not available as a choice. Hello, devil angel.

Also worth noting is that Bonuses needed > Time needed for 40. Gith takes FOREVER to level, but its arguably *the* best dexxer race without keen senses. And the best for AC.

NPCs do that as well? You have an animation package in override--that'd be mdl files or whatever their compiled version is.

Use the animations override, and allocate single core to NWN, are the 2 fixes I know of.
