Prize Room! (A suggestion)
Re: Prize Room! (A suggestion)
I didn't mean headless, tho that's interesting too. I just meant being able to make the helmet invisible, so that you can actually see the faces the players have chosen.

Re: Prize Room! (A suggestion)
My two cents are 1.) I like the idea of a token system, but 2.) the tokens should be useable only by the character issued. This is a reward for a specific toon; making them tradable cheapens them in my eyes. If you're a lower level character then you always have the option to save it for later, that's fine. I don't see a need to trade them though.
A 2nd function of porting people to the prize room is that it seperates who's already been awarded an item, and to a lesser extent move someone to safety from a potentially dangerous or exitless area. This could be circumvented by something that teleports you to avendell the moment a new token is created for you, thereby sending you home safely and preventing DM's from giving you double tokens on accident.

This one I can jump on board with. When awarding prizes after an event one of the great things was the fact that after awarding the prize room the Toon dissapeared leaving only those I had not yet gotten to. I would not want to double award or run the chance of not getting to someone who is also owed the prize. An auto trip tp a nutural area such as Ave Crossing after awarding a token would be a viable solution.LunarSquirrel wrote:My two cents are 1.) I like the token idea exactly because it's transferable. I mean, I like to keep a lowbie or two around just for lowbie events etc, but I often find that the same toon gets sent to the prize room over and over. It's still a nice thing to receive, but there are only so many rooms in the thing for one toon to visit. If I could bring what the event is calling for, but allow the reward to go to a different toon, that'd be really cool IMO.LunarSquirrel wrote:2.) the tokens should be useable only by the character issued. If by "neutral" you mean "frequently a warzone" then yes. Ave crossing is sometimes the most dangerous map on the server.TheEdge wrote:Ave Crossing after awarding a token would be a viable solution.

Re: Prize Room! (A suggestion)
Well, you could port them to their home town after receiving the token. Go home once you get your token, use it and appear inside Ave after you're used it, or have the same exit point in Ave continue to function as the beacon for both token issue and prize room exit.TheEdge wrote:This one I can jump on board with. Re: Prize Room! (A suggestion)
How about the obvious and just return them to their bind after recieving the token. Token usable only near current bind (like tomes). Ports them to prize room and spits em out in ave.

Re: Prize Room! (A suggestion)
Might want to also add something that prevents it from being used when the 10-min till reset countdown comes on. Sometimes people can't settle on a design and dwell, and in the case of armor it takes awhile to see all the options avail to you. Plus there's nothing like being blindsided by a reset you don't know about, even if you're not in the prize room.

Re: Prize Room! (A suggestion)
ummm Auto Server restets are on a pretty set schedule. If someone is blindsided by one I would hazard to guess that they are complete newb to the server and unaware of the reset schedule. That being said if a complete newb was in possesion of a Prize room token I would be curious to know how they got one. The prize room should not be so easy to get that someone brand new to the server has somehow allready gotten access.
