8800 GTS, and GTX FPS Fixed

Post by AllAmerican »

Alright, the latest patch has finally fixed the NWN fps issue.
I now recieve 300 FPS with my 8800 GTS vid card.

WOOT, about time. I suggest getting the new driver update if you own a 8800 series invida video card, asap.

Now all we need is a patch so I can play NWN2 on my 6 month old laptop! :(

Let me guess, intergrated video memory on the laptop? If so I am not suprised it won't play.

Alienware is the way to go for gaming laptops IMHO.

And yes ^^ The patch was good for mine. I was getting terrible tearing, but now I don't.

I'm using a GeForce 7600 GS. I was expecting smooth framerates but it still sometimes slows down quite a bit at times... I have 1 gig of RAM and a P4 2.8ghz (Prescott). Lowering the quality all the way down doesn't help much... considering the game is about 5 years old now, it makes me think its just bad code.

Other games seem to run fine too... its just NWN.... I'd love to see the NWN code base...

DELL XPS systems are just as good as Alienware systems, they are very nice. Yet they dont have the cool looking case, but that case costs you alot of cashola.

For my bday last week I bought myself some new hardware:

-ULTRA grid case with ULTRA 700w PSU (X-connect one)
-ASUS M2R32-MVP crossfire mobo
-OCZ 2 gigs of platinum 800mhz ram
-AMD X2 - 5600+

Now I just need to find a pair of ATI cards to crossfire-link, waiting for the new ATIs to come out, for now I'm forced to use a NV6600... which doesn't seem to work with nwn using the latest NV drivers, had to get the Omega ones, but I still can't stand playing NWN with it because there's something funky with textures - they seem to 'shimmer' when zoomed out, and either in 1200x1024 or 1600x1200...

Perhaps you are getting tearing? Check your framerate while playing to see if it is, then use some anti alising if it is.
