Unarmed Attack and Job Bonuses
Question
I have started a new monk. Focusing on unarmed attacks. As part of the RK and working on the Sentinal Job line, I should get +2 AB magical beasts/+1 AB orcs. I use both a heavy crossbow, normal kama, and +1 attack/+1d4 blud gloves.
Attacking Orcs:
When I equip a heavy crossbow I see the bonuses applied.
When I equip a kama I see the bonuses applied.
When I use my gloves I do not see the bonuses getting applied.
My build is based on going Unarmed and the job bonuses certainly don't stop me from being able to adventure, but I was wondering if something was broken...
I don't know if this is a function of the custom scripts on NS4, or Bioware issue. But I would be shocked if I was the first person to notice this. A quick search on unarmed attack returns nothing about this question.
Thank you in advance

Just like technically in PnP you can weild 2 morningstars or light flails. NwN doesn't have an offhand animation to do this, it should.... I'd let a monk weapon master his fist for 18/20 x3 if I was DMing a PnP game. Altho I wouldn't allow a monk to stop taking monk and then continue taking monk after taking other levels. The flexibility in NWN and NS4 are fun tho.
It's give and take, made for easy videogame conversion. Unfortunatly Bioware hardcoded so much BS, the DMs/Devs can't make everything work the best way possible. I've played 3.5 PnP and the mechanics/feats are alot different. Simplified in some ways to make it fit into a video game. Also limited, since you can't fly or wish. Alot of fun if you got time and a big imagination. Like Amoentep said bioware choose not to do alot of things that would make sense. Then again D&D 3.0 PnP was full of BS when it first came out too lol.

You can take WM focus in kama though which is almost as good for the most part...
The negative side is...lower base damage, inability to use stunning fist while using kama, vulnerability to disarm, no arrow deflection.
Positive side is, you can dual-wield kamas.
