Damn!

8 users on the forums at 02:00 am MST! damn!

People! If you can! Sleep! Its good for you!

Anyway, what do people think about the clerics out there. I hear there have been some nerf sticking with their attack spells, but some supper happy fun sticking with their support role spells.

I rocked my way through the wiki the last couple nights, but math doesn't stick in my head.

On the level, how has there play style or intended purpose changed? Have unaccounted for play styles emerged out of their changes?

Kurth, not all are from your timezone.

I don't really think clerics are good offensive casters, although at midlvls the spells may have a huge effect and another exception may be when fighting undead.
Now supporting, especially buffing, is a great way to enhance the survival. Summons are pretty good too. Even the weakest among the epic: the Death Slaad.

Implosion clerics are pretty great up to 30ish, but bioware's retarded system of epic saves and DCs scuppers pretty much all offensive spells in the long run except IGMS.

Implosions can be good up to level 40, but only if you invest heavily in it. Even then, its a stretch to implode anything thats not a dex'er.

Aye, Clerics are very well balanced but you have to be calculating with them there's no way to play a Hard and fast cleric. Imploder Clerics are devastating and get alot slower to level past 30's but handy to have for routing out those dexr's in a pvp brawl. PVM they're awesome for short burst of explosive ab+dmg but peter out in the long haul. And thier buffs are almost mandatory in alot of epic areas. FoM-Earth Undeaths foe-HoD.
But to make a cleric that can really go toe to toe with monsters you need a little fighter/rogue or even monk in the mix.

Hm, wouldn't agree with well balanced (esp. comparing to other classes), but they are certainly the most versatile class out there. They are useful in a myriad of situations.
You almost can't do anything wrong with a build including cleric lvls. Even Qilué with a very weak combo is good enough to solo most of the areas possible for her lvl.
I agree with the rest of your post, though, Alkpwn.

lol aye mate, but the 6 toons on the forum were all PST-EST

Snap I'm not from my time zone, ^_^

Anyway, thanks all. So the basic conclusion is that the clerics, even with the NS buff/nerf sticking are relatively unaffected?

Well, seems like I'm gonna do my pally/cleric build from beta ^_^

See you all ingame!

P.S. ya don't ask about the title, I had ulterior motives when I first posted ^_^
