How it works now.
2. Haste and the Pure Class Token do not play well together. To obtain maximum effect, it is reccomended you receive Haste before you use your Token, if you receive Haste after having used your Pure Class Token, all of the Token's bonuses will be stripped. If you receive Haste before activating your token, the bonuses will stack and all is well.
If you have thoughts of offensively using haste to strip someone of their Pure Fighter Bonuses, stop now. Using Haste to offensively strip someone of the bonuses from their Pure Class Token is considered an exploit, and doing so is in breach of Neversummer's Second Commandment. This will be dealt with very very very Harshly, so don't do it.
a. Our other option to deal with the Haste problem was to make Pure Fighters immune to the spell, but we felt this would be too limiting to the player. We therefore chose to put our faith in the playerbase in letting them decide how the spell affects them. Don't let us down.
Is it only haste that effects this or do Expeditious retreat and Mass haste have similiar effects?
Secondly, is it possible to give the immunity to these spells to the fighter when they activate the increased movement? Hopefully this would make it so they don't get stripped of everything due to accidental buffing. I can see this as getting rather frustrating during the buffing process when you have to keep reminding those buffing you that you really don't want haste, or even mass haste.

Or just don't use the token until after everyone else has buffed.

Mass Haste yes, Exp Retreat, no.
And what Watchwood says is what we came up with when testing, use your Token at the end of everyone's buff order.
And you do want Haste or Mass Haste, just activate your Token after you receive the spell affect, it works wonderfully then. We're also investigating further methods for combating these odd bugs.

Yes, I'm a DM, but your build still sucks.

The problem is after fighting mobs for awhile haste wears off and often times the character with the buff uses Mass Haste to give everybody Haste again which would nullify everything else the Pure Fighter gets. I just think I would rather not have an accidental dispelling of my buffs as a fighter then to just lose haste. If the movement bonus is what conflicts with haste then allow the movement bonus to give the immunity to haste so when you use it after haste you still get the benifit but if someone casts haste afterwards you don't have the problem of losing your buffs.watchwood wrote:Or just don't use the token until after everyone else has buffed.

If its the one i'm thinking of, then mage armor gives +1 of 4 types of AC bonuses, inclusive of dodge, which will always stack.cely wrote:Mage Armor seems to strip the pure fighter token bonuses as well. No I don't know why a mage was casting Mage Armor on my +5 armor wearing fighter
But, it's such a draining job that, until you've DMed on an NWN server yourself, you the playerbase, have got to cut the DMs some slack. - Flailer

Mage Armor no longer provides the +1 Dodge AC bonus but rather a +4 Enchantment bonus to your armor.
