prestige classes

sorry if this has been asked, but the "unique prestige classes" for each faction confused me. ex: RKs unique prc is dwarf defender, does that mean i cannot make a WM? is DD the only available prc for RK?

I think it may mean that a DD is only allowed to be taken by members of the RK faction and no one else. I could be wrong though...

my understanding is that DD is only available for RK.
you can still make a WM though since WM is not a unique for any fraction.
there is however another rule saying your character can have only ONE prestige class, so no DD+WM.

PRC's that are not unique to a faction (SD,WM,AA) can be taken by all..Faction restricted PRC's can only be taken by the specific factions

Another q about prcs: I heard someone mention something about one prc only on a char, can anyone confirm that?

Although I bet if you prove your worth to your deity and show enough dedication (read: roleplaying), they might allow you to expand your training to include another prestige class...

Oh great some more NS3-Solates-style DM favoritism, I'm sure it'll be real fair when there's a few uber characters with two prestige classes bullying those who don't have that priviledge ( let's face it, prestige classes are generally more powerful than the standard classes, having a few characters with two prestige classes would be a hugh advantage for those characters... I don't think there should be any special favoritism for any players, that's part of what went wrong in NS3 and caused petty bickering and players frustrated because they were being bullied by people who had things they couldn't get) [keep in mind, I had alot of DM gear and some old gear myself, but I didn't bully people with that power, others did, and I would have gladly traded away all that special gear to a DM if it meant that it was being taken away from everyone so that any player had access to the same gear and it was a fair and balanced world, If I didn't need to keep that stuff to compete with others who had as much or more)

Point: I think that's a VERY bad idea

Joran isn't talking about favouritism... He's (probably) talking about something more along the lines of your deity bequests you a few times and if you do well you get a prize!

Earned favoitism...

Those prizes will go to whoever the DM feels like giving a quest to at the moment and those people who aren't hanging around the DM's bugging them and kissing butt all the time dont' get those opportunities

Ns3 all over agian, where those who are good at taking advantage of peoples generosity have 100 DM token in their inventory after six months while those who aren't so greedy have 16 DM tokens after a year and a half of playing and helping others as much as myself (unlike the greedy players who had everything and gave away nothing) constantly giving away things to those who had less than me...

again... BAD idea

If there's going to be DM quests offered, they should be available to everyone, not just who happened to be talking to the DM at the moment

I don't kiss butt, I make friends... If i never see a DM around, I guess they don't become my friend huh?

Like I said, it's favoritism for those who are just lucky enough to be around at the right time, and people liek me with no luck never find out about events
