1) When a item (like armor) has slashing immunity 10% written twice in its item description...does that stack to 20%?
2) Does damage reduction stack..for example...If I have a shield that has slashing 5/- and armor thats got slashing 5/-...does that make a total of slashing 10/-?
damage reduction...etc

5/- slashing isn't called reduction but rather resistance.
Here's how it works (more info than you'd ever want):
Damage Immunity: it's the percentage you see on armours. I.e. 25% Fire Immunity. These stack without exception. Going over 100% will NOT cause that type of damage to heal you but rather it caps at 100%. :) You won't get more than 50% of any type in NS4.
Damage Resistance: it's the xx/- "type" numbers you'll find on armours. I.e. 10/- slashing resistance. These do not stack. You can have multiple types (fire, slash, pierce, etc.) but only the highest of each type is counted.
Damage Reduction: it's the +x/yy (or some say yy/+x) property. You won't get this from armour in NS4. You can get it from spells like Premonition (+5/30 reduction) or Stoneskin (+5/10). If you hit someone with a +2 weapon and the victim has +3/10 reduction, 10 points of physical damage will be ignored from your attack. If you had hit the same target with a +3 or better weapon the damage will go straight through.
The three types are discounted from damage in this order: Immunity, Resistance, Reduction.
