It does seem to be granting 50% concealment...but unfortunately it also seems to be blinding the caster as well even with UV active. In fact, I think it's causing a blindness effect on everything in the AoE rather than what it normally does in the game.

I hate partying with drows who insist on playing in darkness all the time. The darkness doesn't render properly, will leave dark spots where they aren't even standing anymore. It's so dark I can't even see loot bags while holding down 'tab'... It's bad enough tring to pick a target in a cluster but when everything is pitch black, even with UV on, it's just annoying to fight in. Meanwhile the drow himself is running in the next maps and beyond, with no black annoying blob following them on their screen... after they zone it's basically Imp-invis to them... yet everyone else in their party has to deal with their annoying drow stinky black cloud.
Leads me to wonder if it was intentionally made to work this way, or if by giving the ability to cast darkness on a token item it was just discovered accidentally. I mean did someone just say 'wow look i can cast darkness on myself and run around neat!' or was it scripted that way intentionally, was it from the start with the idea 'let's see if we can make darkness stick onto a PC with a token!' . Intentional or not, good luck to Devs with the darkness fiasco.

Really? That could explain part of my problems, as I'm always using the tab key. As for darkness, just make it so that it's a stationary effect, like if I cast a stonehold on a monster.
