hello, i'm planning to put up an extensive documentation to help out new players and esp for advanced players who seek to find out abilities, dc, and such.
currently looking for a provider such as a wiki or i could just create a .pdf of it and host it. just wondering if the players have any knowledge base they have at the moment it would be helpful for compilation.
also, im asking the dms and devs to let me know if they can help out with more loghidden matters such as spell dcs, durations, abilities, etc.
currently on top of priority are spells and dcs..

well, i really like the nwnwiki.org setup... i have the grim as well, but never use it - i always have firefox open, and the wiki on a tab, so more convenient anyhow.
Plus wikis are great for getting a lot of content in fast with multiple people working on it in realtime, a document has to be revised and republished as changes come in and has no visible community with comments, etc...

Yeah thats very true also Cel.
If this is going to be a community & true multi-user approach the wiki would be the best route.
A grimoire can always be made from the online info for those who want one.

Dont worry about looking for a wiki host. I can set one up here on the nsrealm site. It should only take me a few hours to get everything set up and configured. This has the added advantage of being able to get into its db and export the thing, clean it up and turn it into a pdf file.
I'll get to work on setting it up, if you all decide not to use it ... well the practice arguing with php is always good for me.

Make it so the default for "search result not found" is a redirection to NWN WIki - with a your are accesing generic info pop up warning - lazy mans data input is someone elses data input.
ALSO get a Never summer link into the WIKI ASAP pointing people to
1. the command line for launching direct into Never Summer
2. The Forums
3. The custom content WIKI
4. The periodic table of elements (because you can!)
It would operate kind of like the "shadow" function in LPC.

Allright, look for it to open sometime saturday. That gives me time to make sure I have it working correctly, make fixes, or change software if I need to.
I'll keep you updated. I would like to say that this will still be a community driven and maintained thing, the DMs and Devs will help where we can, or where the information isnt available without script delving.
I'll look into setting up a player or two with admin rights to it after I have it set up and see how versatile it is.

OK, may take a bit longer than I thought, but I will win this argument now that I have started it.
Even though I checked the php versions, I ended up with a version mismatch. I had wanted to use a flat file for database, that seems to be out of the question now. So I'll have to go through the process of setting up another mySQL database, and different wikiware.
Be a bit, but I'll get it.
