Got my agreement on this one. I'm creating a Cl/So/RDD - but it certainly won't be an "Uberbuild" - more of an extention of a RP concept. It's being built with "What would I do at this point based on my experiences and the thoughts of my character", rather than "What is going to give me the most Uber character at Lvl 35"

I'm here to have some fun. Due to my limited "Free time" to play this GAME - I'll mostly be soloing. 30 mins here - an hour there - something to break the monotony of Real Life. This means that I'm going to be pretty hard up forming a party - which from what I've heard means that actually getting beyond Lvl 20 is going to be a major challenge for a "non-uber" build - if not impossible.

However, as someone pointed out - this is a Faction War server, not an RP Server. Uber Builds are going to be the norm. Therefore, the Dev's have to code to accomodate Uber Builds.

The best that I as an "old school" RPer can hope for is that next time my character standing in Sleeth at dawnbreak calling on Lathander to give my words strength before launching into a speach imploring the natives to give up the evils of Slavery; some Kindly DM/God will look upon me and grant me some small XP bonus for RP instead of taking over the nearest Dragon and using me as a chew toy.

There is always the other option - I could bugger off somewhere else that suits my particular playing style better. Certainly makes more sence than jumping up and down on the forum and complaining about how tragicly unfair it is that the world wasn't created to suit my way of playing.

Unfortunately, that's not the case. A large majority of LA players seem to be newbies who aren't fully aware of faction requirements, and make a build that can't qualify for any other faction. Take for example a good-aligned wizard. Unless he's a dwarf, he's got only 2 factions to choose from when he enters NS. In fact, it would seem that many of the more pvp oriented players once they become familiar with the server tend to gravitate to factions like AO and SL. Recently most of the players I've seen on for the faction are either lowbies or don't care to help defend the city. And let's face it, numbers don't really make much of a difference when you get invaders who can just wail everything in sight.

Elagneros is right. NS is the learning faction. once players reach epic levels, they either switch factions or become traitors. very few people in LA are both high enough lvl and loyal enough to defend NS.

he's only on vacation to get FoN going strong...

But this is the sad truth... LA has hordes and hordes of n00bs and only a few dedicated players (like myself, mamba, slash and elag) how can we compete when we have FRIENDLY TOONS attacking us within our own city as we try to protect our relic(s)???? That's just SICK, and very dissapointing overall -- I think in spite, I should make some SL toons just to attack SL people within menzo during a relic raid on SL or to PK SL lowbies, how will you guys like that?? It'll be easy to levelup with the extra 50% bonus ;]

oh lord, el is gonna cry....ok i don't care...evil kills anything anyway.

back on topic jaro...i have a rogue/SD he can hide from most any mob on this game. if your getting spotted in NS its because the ghaele's have casted true seeing and its a mob shared sight. which means if one sees you, they all see you. take a shortsword or rapier in there and clean up, they suck at piercing damage. the rogue/sd is a very powerful build don't doubt that for a second. my particular build isn't that great at hiding but if he sneaks you its close to 200 damage a hit.

I can walk in there hidden with my monk (no shadow dancer YET) and NO NPC sees me, if your being spotted try a few other methods.
