Difficulty getting to the cut-scene and multiple characters

I know you are all aware of the trouble last night with the new characters logging into the cut-scene and selecting a faction.

I attempted about 5 times to create a character and join only to find myself in the “void”. I understand that everyone is working hard at resolving this (thanks btw).

Are these characters still playable (I have not chosen a faction for any of them)?

Will I need to create another character?

Is there a way to delete characters we may no longer want (used up all my good names,

and to free up space on the servers)?

Those characters should still be salvageable. If when you log them in you find yourself stuck in the "loading" zone put a short message across the DM channel. "help, stuck in (insert zone)" will get our attention while simply saying "help" may get back burnered as we are understandably very busy lately.

Give us a minute or two to respond before putting the message across again. If you get no response, go ahead and log into on of the other servers and try again there.
