Faction Communication

Post by Levan75 »

Not sure if this has specifically dealt with anywhere, but am wondering if the dev's can enlighten us on the method for communication. Obviously we can use the forums for general discussion, and in game we are all aware of the excessive shouting that can happen. It would be nice if there was a method of talking faction wide without annoying other players via shout. Obviously all members could join the same party would make perfect sense to me. I was wondering if there will be any other methods available. Boards, messages etc available in game.

Large parties kill the server. It creates a lot of lag. The servers are set up to have the allied faction areas sharing a server. I.e. RK and AO on one server, TC and NC on another. So shouting pretty much IS talking factionwide.

I suggest using IRC. A good way of communicating with everyone is to come to #neversummer, and if you want to only talk to the people in LA I can see making a #neversummer/LA channel would be a good idea.
