AA enhancement boni?
AA enhancement boni?
Does the bonus Arcane Archers get with their Enchanted Arrow feat count as enhancement bonus for beating damage reduction? And if so, does it stack with a bow's enhancement bonus, i.e. would an AA with +15 enchant arrows and a +5 bow be able to ignore the 50/+20 damage reduction of epic warding?
I have opinions of my own, strong opinions - but I don't always agree with them!
I don't know this for sure, but I would think the answer is yes. If a sword with a +5 enhancement bonus can get past +5 DR, then an arrow with +15 should be able to pass +15 DR, and with an extra +5 from the bow should make it past +20. (Although no +5 bows in NS4?)
Actually, is Epic Warding even going to be allowed in NS4? How would anyone BUT an AA be able to get past it? Well, other than by doing more than 50 pts of damage per hit...

Actually it is supposed to work like that.....or at least in 3.0 and 3.5 thats the way it is. If your arrow has +5 and your bow is +5, then you get +10 ab, +10 damage, and i think penetration of damage up to +10/-
I think that might be the way it works in Aurora as well, however, it is entirely possible that you only get the highest bonus in NWN

I've tried fire, i've tried faith, and i've tried force, all I have left is hope.

As far as I know GO only has a +5 DR rating. I don't think it's possible to go higher in a vanilla NWN mod.

Arrow of Death has a fixed DC 20 Fortitude save, so its pretty useless at higher levels, except maybe vs. mages, rogues or other things with really low Fort saves. The only real advantage to a high level AA in my opinion is the insane AB.Hmm I was hitting her with arrows of death with a char that had like 15 or 20 levels of AA and it sure seemed wimpy.
And back to the DR issue, does anyone know if Epic Warding will be allowed in NS4?

Arrows of Death (arrows) are for the 2d6 of every damage type, not the Arcane Archer ability.
