I like 5 levels of SD with monk so I can get epic dodge . . . plus hide in plain sight seems like it will be useful in NS4.

Humans, Half-orcs, Elves, Gnomes, Half-elves... you know, the other five races.

hmm - I have never made a halfling in NWN. Never saw a real reason to before, maybe that will change now that there are cool sub-races.

I think COT is limited to the Northern Coalition - might want to double check that if you plan on that build.

I think a fighter/WM/pally would be pretty close to the fighter/WM/COT - just need to take more fighter in order to get the additional feats. Of course some of the COT bonus feats are pretty good.

In regards to having only 1 prestiege class, that I'm not sure of, and could be possible, but for Northern Coalition having CoT, I think it means that they get the bonuses for being in Northern Coalition and having CoT. I think other factions can pick it, just don't get the bonus from picking it (I believe the bonus was 10% exp?)

Nope. Champion of Torm is a faction specific prestige class. That means only characters belonging to the Northern Coalition have access to CoT (much like the shifter for the circle, RDD for AO, DD for RK, [censored] for SL, PM for MA).

I will make a good-aligned drow ranger who dual wields scimitars, and then kill my cliched self over and over again repeatedly for the satisfaction entailed.

You forgot Dwarves :) (and don't forget the subraces)

I'm still undecided as to what I'lll play first. Gonna try a bunch of wacky builds and see if I can make them work. The one that looks most intersting so far - a pure Cleric Necromancer.
