W.O.W is here, goodbye NS4 and NWN

Post by Uber_Hoser »

Nuff said. Don't have to worry about grifters, PKers etc etc etc...

Thing I like MOST about W.O.W......

1) World is huge. Make that Frigging HUGE  I have played for 2 weeks and have barely scraped the surface.

2) If you want to pk, join a pk server. If you want to rp, join a rp server. If you just want to have fun, join a general server (Player vs enemy)......

3) Me, hell yes to 12.99/month to great content. (yep bout a 6 month pass) I was that impressed with the beta test...

4) Don't have to listen to ppl whine about Okies/term/slaves, annnnnd smacktards :)

Un-installs NWN.. Adds to collection of games I may never play again....

Installs Worlds of Warcraft. Makes pact with devil and wife :P

Currently having fun as a dwarf paladin engineer on Elune :) Blow teh bunnies up with dynamite that I make... just testing it I swear :P

DD, Joran and Lokey (Among others) . Thanks for the great mod !
You should send your resume's to Blizzard :)

On a parting note:

I strongly suggest if you want to make NS4 better, charge something for people to play on your server.

This will reduce the number of smacktards, and make it easier for you to develop content and support the site and mod.....

(Asking for donations is like asking for people to pay for file sharing..why should I pay when I can get it for free.. if it cost something, I will think about it..do I really want this mp3/game/video ???)

If only it wasn't strictly forbidden by Bioware...

Between this, the client hacks you know are coming and server crashing to get stuff to sell on Ebay...have fun :)

Do like the artwork though.

What are the min reqs for WOW? I fear my laptop (all I have) won't be able to handle it (damn integrated 64mb piece of crap graphics card). Maybe it is for the best...i have gotten off the crack of nwn which kept me addicted for 2 years, not sure if i should find myself new crack to steal my life...

Lineage2 is a really good pay to play also, I played it for 2 months. For some very strange reason I still love NWN though so I cancelled my subscription. Not to mention I want to see where NS4 goes :D .

I play Everquest 1... which has lost alot of high level characters/players to EQ 2.

But their gms are rarely spotted as well.

Yeah just jumped on the WoW bandwagon too, got alot of SF buddies playing it now that never even thought of picking a mmorpg that are fairly addicted, well it did say i was going to divide between the two but guess i don't really have a choice now huh? Every one of your player base just about can build a lvl 25 in less than a week, easily, i'll be poking in every once in while, but thx for the great mod and times ive had here as well =-)
Good luck if you do continue this endevor, and will be back if you do. Later

Yeah, i suggest if you have at all considered this game to pick it up, 1st month is free so if u don't like it i guess u could sell it on ebay, but this has to be the best mmorpg anywhere, servers are constantly updated, problems fixed as quickly as possible, you can solo pretty easily or group with your buddies to tackle bigger stuff, latency is awesome never lagged once yet, in game e-bay system, constantly something to do, if nothing else you are payin the $12 a month for the crew that's sole purpose is to make this fun by doing all this and making sure stuff is added/updated constantly. I had never even considered a mmorpg until blizzard cranked this out, hard to explain exactly but like a mix between morrowind, diablo 2, and warcraft 3 but this mix is frikkin awesome. but as they haven't cranked out a crap game yet, had to see what there was to offer. Hmm yeah i'm not a commercial but i am that impressed with this game =-)

Well I am going back to Lineage2. The graphics are awsome and the play style is fun. If any of you play that, I am Beergoth in the game. I will still play NS as well because it is a cool mod. See you all around , be careful and DON"T die, hehe.

I have only played yet from this two games Lineage 2 and that game didnt hit me, it didnt have any diversity, only graphics at that time were nice. I dont like "asian" way of playing that basically means you kill first 10 monster lvl1, 20 to lvl 2, 40 to lvl 3 and in the end you slay like 10000 monster for one level. There wasnt more than few quest compared to size of world. Someone tryid to PK you, retaliate and his friend pop up somewhere near and they kill you while your color changes and laugh after getting some item drop/s from you. I mean the PK system on Lineage was totally horrible.

About WoW i have heard only positive news, expect the positive too but negative effect for servers too many subscripes at short period and server instability by too over growded. :) Gotta give WoW try eventually.
Still NWN has always it own positive sides and to think people that develop for example this mod in MMORPG they lose that benefit of change to mold that world, they just become mere mortal players like most of us. :P So have to hope WoW wont kill too many NWN mods cause there isnt ever too many invidual views around to keep us entertained.

I am playing wow this week.

Lots of server overload...

If you decide to get onto the more popular servers, expect a queue login wait of 30 minutes to 2 hours.

That hasn't hit the server I am presently on, when I have tried to log on.

My big problem with wow is the keyboard movement. its sloppy. Barely press the left arrow key, and spin 30-90 degrees left. Forward movement is a series of arcs.

The blizzard store sold out last week.

I find most of the wow websites talking about the beta. I try to find out things about the game, and the info on the web sites, even that supposedly updated thism onth for the release version, is wrong or has problems.

While EQ 1 has a number of problems, and the WoW graphics are great, I prefer EQ 1.

I use a 550MHZ Win98se with 383 megs of ram, and 32 megs of video ram in a radeon 7200, cable modem, and play is okay.

I haven't grouped though.

Seriously...I've seen better graphics on the Cartoon Network than those that WoW uses...how can y'all even stand to play such? (Hype can only keep you on a game so long...)

I didn't know that was possible! Worse than Cartoon Network? *shudder* Cartoons these days have no soul...
