Reason's why people leave neversummer and never come back!
Well, during the many months I have played here I have seen tons of dicouraging things. I persevered through them because I had met many cool people who were fun to party with. Over the last 6 months I have seen more and more people leave neversummer. In he forums I read..."what happened to so and so?" I can tell you what happened. Ignorant lil pricks ran them away, or big fat assed loosers with no jobs ran them away. I work 2 jobs and support a family, I enjoy playing these games to get away from the 70 hrs of work i have to persevere. I play this game to get away from the fact that 5 members of my unit never made it back from Iraq with me. It is just annoying that people that play here slaughter rats to get to lvl 40...and kill all lowbies they see indiscriminately. it is a nuisance that a character 12 lvls higher than you recruits his lvl 40 friend to jump me when i am still loading a board that i chased that much higher lvl character through. It is intolerable that 72 lvls are not enough to kill a lvl 22 without cheating and spamming bigbies and issacs on you before you even load a board. It is even more disheartening to read their comments about how they "OWNED" you. You can all flame me now..
Thank you"magic-foo"and "michelenman" for turning away yet another player to the world of neversummer.
I honestly feel sorry for you in that the only place you find you have power over others is in a world on a computer game.
Go join the Army, Navy, AF, or the Marines. Do something with your life at least for a few days before you get kicked out!!!
Flame on people. Sorry to all those who read this and feel the same way.

It sounds like you'd have a better time on a non-PvP server. At least that's what I'd do if I was in your shoes.
Personally I just came from a heavy RP, non-PvP server so I'm enjoying blasting people with me Bigbies, Maxed IGMS, etc etc.
There's LOTS of servers out there. Pick one that suits your playstyle/personality.

What about the few of us that balance out the "evil ones"? Sure, i'm a powergamer...and yes, I like having power over the "evil ones". But does that put me in the same category as them?
Why not try to level up your char to be able to fight them?

But, it's such a draining job that, until you've DMed on an NWN server yourself, you the playerbase, have got to cut the DMs some slack. - Flailer

im sure that when ns4 is out of beta, a lot of people will come back to check it out. im just hoping some of whats been brought to the table as far as player (not character) behaviour is addressed by then.Lework wrote:i wouldnt leave just yet..there are more good people against pking then are for it..once the high level areas are added the pkers you see today wont dare show their faces.
thre used to be a few marines on that we played with... err they are still on NS too i think.. one of em atleast..Go join the Army, Navy, AF, or the Marines. Do something with your life at least for a few days before you get kicked out!!!
hmm
ppl never really go away from NS... it's too hard to... they always drop back in atlest to say hello to old friends....
and yea, it's been said a thousand million times.. but...
it doesnt matter how good the mod is... it depends soley on the player base we accumulate and how our "society" forms and governs itself...

heh
I played my first 2 hours on NS last night.
Met 1 good person, had fun
was killed by monsters 7X (hehe being lvl 1 is fun)
was pk'ed 4X in town. 1 time at respawn, 1 time in a shop, 1 time killed twice before i actually died,, another time i deserved it ( i did something dumb)
Im quickly learning that if you go afk anywhere anytime, you will be dead when you get back. If you see another player, assume hes going to kill you, because he probally is.
Its a rough world out there for the newbs.....

yeah the combination of pk, no familiars or companions, the level restrictions on items.... just isnt the same as the old ns3 i loved and played for exactly the opposite of those 3 things, so im out at least for a few years till its fixed
Rock On!

If this mod hasn't seriously progressed by the end of next year, I suspect it'll be over. What, with NWN 2 due out around that time (I think).
Me thinks that now Joran is back, we'll see alot of improvements over the next couple months.
*fingers crossed*
Braxious: You must have been unlucky dude, or maybe it's because I'm reasonably high level (*cough* 18, so not really *cough*) - but I leave my character all the time and have never been PK'd while afk. And rarely do I get into fights with other PCs, regardless of faction alignment. Infact, the only PKs that have occured with me is when silly lowbies whack me and after one hit their dead. =/

actaully, while joran being away really did set us back, they assumed the worst (which was prolly best.. in a sense) and got a few more devs...
sooo
while we slowed down a lot...
now we shud speed up a lot... you know.. with having new devs +joran and sadistic... and those other devs... like... the ones we failed to mention but know exist...

I was looking for a snack earlier, and find a <a href="http://www.angelfire.com/blog/jd/images ... >couple</a> of <a href="http://www.angelfire.com/blog/jd/images ... c-F00's</a> lying around.
