wipe....1.64....lalalala
I dont think high level outcasts are the only pker's around. There's a lot more who aren't necessarily outcasts. And the only way to avoid having high amounts of these outcasts is create a driving force in faction design so they'd be more encouraged to play actively in their factions. Apparently at this stage, most factions don't even have jobs yet - thus resulting to less faction involvement and would rather seek other stuff - like getting outcasted and going pking for fun.trent wrote:Well that idea might be good on other servers, but not here in my opinion. Full pvp is what makes this server great . If you see someone from an enemy faction, feel free to kill as you see fit. I think the problem lies in the amount of high lvl outcasts we have. Maybe my idea of "once a character gets outcasted from their faction they shouldn't receive XP untill they have redeemed themselves" isn't such a good idea, but i do believe the problem lies in outcasts. What do outcasts have to fight for? Nothing. They then become random pkers (hence my idea for a wipe). A wipe would remove all outcast players forcing everyone to start over and be in a faction once again. The "no xp for outcasts" would help in the number of outcasts running around random pking everything they see. I would like to see what everyone thinks of this idea.
nooooo, epic areas havent been added yet because they arent done... the 3.5 servers arent made or using 4 parts. in fact, NS4 will prolly end up being hosted on 2 sets of 2 sharded servers.Wolfarus wrote:A level cap might be a good idea, but dont think its possible at this point. Its been hinted at and generally assumed that the main reason epic (i.e. new areas) areas havnt been added yet to further the beta test was the lack of servers. 2 servers running the basic factions barely get along as it is, adding epic and other areas prob would crash them. Well, if its mainly a hardware prob, why have they put up 2 NS 3.5 servers? (the other one is still passworded. shows up on the main server list) The only explanation i can think of is that NS 4 software needs a certain hardware set up to run..which dosnt make much sense. So if its servers we need to get more areas in, get the companions and familiars back, ect why waste the time with 3.5?
uh huh, and each time u meet some low critter on your way to anywhere u'll have to make sure you don't kill any ... I mean just going thru legion tunnels to get into menzo u'll already meet 50 effortless or so... Bad ideaPsycho Dordt wrote:might be an idea, to enforce this penalty, each time you have killed an X amount of low lvls (10 lvls below you) and you are PKed within Y amount of time after that your corpse is lootable.
I was talking about player not about mobs....nargileh wrote:uh huh, and each time u meet some low critter on your way to anywhere u'll have to make sure you don't kill any ...
