Wizards as a viable class?

wizards are going to have access to more spells than sorcerers are seeing as they can put more into their spells books... and scroll writing isnt limited to sorcerers... i have a feeling scroll writing is going to be more of a wizard profession than sorcerer... of course, clerics are obviously going to be the ones churning out ressurection and restoration scrolls...

I really can't wait to play a pureblood wizard. I really think that going pureblood is the way to go with RP some characters....

I used to play one in D&D (1st edition rules no less).. His name was Alurian Trap Finder.. he had a special ability for finding traps.. the hard way, that is...

Alurian gets hit for 4 x 1d4 darts. Roll for poison/toxin checks...

One of the crafting skills - Arcane Crafting - includes the ability to produce wands, rods, and staves. (Yes, that is the proper plural of staff.) I've had several sorcs and wizzies working on that craft skill, but never got it higher than Craftsman level.

lol uber, that happened to me once, except it was a spear instead of darts... that kinda hurt, had to limp all the way back to town to get healed up.
