Signature and Avatar images

We are asking that those of you who use images in your signatures or use custom avatars please keep them to a reasonable size. For Avatars the recomended limits are there where you linked to them.

For signature images, a single banner or image is proper. Taking up a half acre of screen real estate with large and/or multiple images isnt. Please take this time to police yourselves on this and use some common sense in what you may be doing to page load time to those without broadband accounts. 100x400 is a good size for your signature banners.

(DV's AV is 216 high at the time of this post

Btw, don't most browsers have a disable images option?

Go to where you can edit your profile (the profile link at the very top of the page), then find where you can write your signature, and here you should put in: [img]your excat link here[/img] . if you dont know the adress, right click on your image and look under properties, and there should be a line saying something like adress.

You need a place to get your sig hosted for this to work

i can host siggys if you cant find anywhere to uplad them... just email em to me at terminal@counter-hack.net

and if JesterOI's sig gets any bigger i think im gonna use my desktop image as my sig... 1024x768...........

We're still seeing sigs WAY bigger than 100 x 400.

Come on, folks (and everyone knows who you are) - bring 'em down to size.
(Are you perhaps overcompensating ?)

I'm sure you don't want to tick me off. You wouldn't like me when I'm ticked off.
