either people don't seem to understand the rules or just don't care but again today i was just standing there and was attacked in avendell .... i didn't fight back till the very end (spent 5 mins of the fight calling out for a dm with no responce so here is another screenshot ..... i don't wanna sound like i'm crying over it but avendell should be a safe place and i shouldn't have to worry about getting killed there

Vindictive punishment suggestions to rule violators!
Wow, they seem to have it out for you.
I think Jester suggested a punishment of Avendell being unaccessible to the violators. I'd like to add even further vindictive punishment suggestions: Delevel their best characters...maybe 10 levels, maybe all the way to 1st. Also, a total wipe of their inventories?
Hmmm, seems deliciously heavyhanded. But then again, people are getting stupid. There are very few rules in NS, and the most notably violated one is no violence in Avendell. If you can't honor that rule, there's nothing sacred in NS4 anymore!

I learned it from you, dad! I learned it from watching you!

I think the first step would be to add a signed object stating the rules of non-agression in Avendell.
Even though I never attacked anyone in Avendell, I just learned from this forum that you can't attack anyone in that town.
I belive that characters should be warned before they enter Avendell, that would reduce attacks a lot.

To reduce the file size on the screenshots -
If you don't have one on your computer already, download an image editor. Doesn't need to be Photoshop, just needs to be able to open a targa file (the .tga format NWN saves screenshoys in), then save it as a gif or jpeg. I understand IrfanView is a nice small, but full featured, editor. It can be found at http://www.download.com/IrfanView/3000- ... ag=lst-4-4.
I don't use it myself, but the next steps should be roughly the same as in Photoshop. Once you've opened the screenshot file, you can either save it as a jpeg (if it have a lot of detail) or a gif (if it has a lot of areas with roughly the same colour. Shoots in dungeon areas usually end up with large areas of black & sometimes end up smaller as gif files).
If you're saving as a jpeg, you'll probably get the option to set the image quality. Halfway along the slider (or half quality) is more than enough.
If you're saving as a gif, you'll have to convert it to indexed colour. An adaptive 256 colour palatte with no dithering are the things to look for.
You should be able to get the original 2+mb 1024x768 targa (for example) down to 120-150kb or less & not have the reduction problems you do now.
