Improved Invis vs true seeing
If you (or a creature/npc) has True seeing, and I cast Improved Invis.. can you/they still see me ? And are there items that grant true seeing ?

that's a good question. I'm not really sure of that but those spells seem to have been customized here. Spot and listen skills seem to help seeing PC/NPC using Improv Invisibilty/Invisibilty and True Seeing just raise those skills but a check is still necessary.
Some1 really need to confirm that cause i'm really not sure.

French r evil !!! That's what Moira say =)
I'm fine with that Lady.

Spot and listen skill do nothing to see invis and improved invis. True sight spell allows you to see through all invisibility effects since it gives see invis and +20 spot effects. True sight on monsters also allows monsters to see through invisibility effect and in addition allows them to see when blinded, in darkness, through sanctuary effect and also reveals hidden PCs/creatures. True sight spell currently doesn't grant True sight effect because that woudl nerf hide and move silently. Some stupid players spread the word that spot and listen make you see invisible creatures, when it actually is bow bug that lets you see through that effects. That bug will be fixed and then your precious AA won't see invis mages any more. Peace, I'm out.OneManArmy wrote:that's a good question. Listen should work v. movement while under invis.
Bow = truesight was rumored to be fixed for 1.63 many months ago, hopefully it makes the fix list (and the fix does what it's supposed to do, lol).

Actually bow never provided true sight, since it doesn't allow you to see hiding people, only invisible(doesn't even work on sanctuary I think).Lokey wrote:Listen should work v. movement while under invis.

Actually all weapons are affected by them same bug. You see invisible creatures that are in your weapon range. Ever noticed that you can see invis as a melee if you stand next to them? Well bow(with ammo), sling(with ammo), darts, shirikens have same effect only their ranges are greater.
Lokey how does greater sanctuary work now?
Btw with true sight out of picture, is anyone considering protection domain? That sanctuary can have REALLY high DC.

On a side note, Im not sure the issue with True Seeing being able to see people in stealth/hidden has been resolved. I say this because while attempting to hide unnoticed from a wiz PKer /w true seeing he still somehow managed to see me and he was a few feet away. As I understand it true seeing is suppose to give +20 spot/listen so therefore my fighter/rogue/assassin with 30 ranks in hide/ms shouldnt have been seen...
I dont remember if he was holding a bow tho so I guess it could have been that...
I sense a soul in search of answers...

How many times do I have to repeat myself? Spot / listen does not allow you to see invisible creatures. They are just using bow or sling or you are right next to them.Terminal Insanity wrote:Casters got the [censored]-end of this stick too...
Greater Sanc is usless, i cant even palk past ogres with it... but regular Invis works fine as long as i dont get too close.
Invis/Improoved invis is usless, anyone can see through it with true seeing/see isvis and even spot/listen
