Unwarrented/unasked for 'Help'

I was soloing in the mountain trail fighting 3 orges. Two 'hostile' PC's who thought I was too weak to be up there alone came along and started to 'help' me. First one of them Cast Call lightning on top of me and the orges knocking me down to about 4 hp, so I ran from the battle to heal myself, then one of their summons flamed me back down to 4 hp again.

I had enough, knowing full well I would Die, I attacked the PC's.

Please, if you're gonig to jump into somone elses battle and aren't going to askf first if they need help, Please click them over from 'Dislike' to 'Like' so at least you won't do more than take xp away from them at the most.

Ok, my Tirade is over. Game on

If they were hostile maybe they meant to kill you. Happens every once in a while I hear . . .

Nope, they were trying to help me. thinking I was in over my head.

If they were trying to kill me, It wouldn't have bothered me at all. Different thing all together.

Call Lightning targets all hostiles in the area of effect... they were trying to kill you.

[edit - At the very least, they were kill-stealing.]

I tend to agree with bob - anyone using CL knows it will target a hostile PC in the area as well. Unless they overtly said 'hey let us help' I would bet they didn't care if you died or not - which is in keeping with faction PvP though not always cool if you are killed by a monster because of it.
