At long last the time has come for all of the warriors in the land to fight!!
Who will take home the coveted championship and bragging rights?
Where will the Defenders Statue and all its buffs dwell till the next DoR?
Here are the details:
- The relic counter in Avendell will be set to zero, and all relics sent to their home cradle at the start of each heat.
- The event will run a span of three days totaling 5 heats
08/01/14 1st heat 0900-1300 PDT 2nd heat 1700-2100 PDT
08/02/14 3rd heat 0500-0900 PDT 4th heat 1700-2100 PDT
08/03/14 5th heat 0900-1300 PDT
PDT is -7 GMT
-So get on the horn/phone/crystal ball and call up all those grizzelled veterans
-At the beginning of each heat announcements on shout will be made in order to officially start each heat.
-Victory is achieved by having the highest number of relic captures, as per the relic counter in Avendell. The Defender statue will be relocated if necessary to the winners home town.
-A reward will be given to the MVP of each faction actively involved in relic warfare. (A player vote in the forums will determine MVP's)
-No solo mulitboxing allowed. (this applies to all on the server not just those actively involved in the event during the scheduled times)
-No cross or friendly faction dropping of the relics. (If you pick up the relic you must attempt to cap it in your home faction)
-Pick an alliance (ie AORK, MASL, TCNC and stick with it for each heat. If you wish to defect to another alliance for the next heat, that's fine.
-Chuggers will be banned.
-Above all else have fun!! This event is all about the players.

The results from Heat One are in.

The Shadow Legion took the lead in the begging with only two participants. Thanks in part to a 'stunning' defense of NC, which took out the first raider that tried to leave with the NC relic. However the raider was that cat from TC.
Turn out for AO and SL was very thin, yet they kept at the TNC throats till the end, even got a relic out of the Den and capped. Another haunted Melencia for over an hour slowly picking em off bit by bit.
The fights were frequent, very little down time between action, I certainly never grew bored.

A lot of massive battles that the score does not indicate. The fights went on and one till the server reset. The most important tactic in this is being prepared ahead of time and being present when it starts, like any race. TNC has proved that for years and others have picked it up like Masl in heat one, who even grossly outnumbered were here as it began and scored 4.

Lots of three way action and snatches from under the other raiders eyes. AO showed up in force from the start and got the jump, with SL following up and catching up in the first hours.

Had a lot of chaotic battles, with Masl going for interrupting the other teams efforts instead of relics. Participation is still participation and such tactics are one of the reasons we have 3 allainces, one never knows what the chaos factor will bring.
