It's not really mercy for the 32, though, if the 37 is the one needs some help to level, right? The low level is the one who gets the penalty, so broadening the range would enourage the lower levels to team up with the highbies. And the XP/CR is already better after the recent adjustments at high levels as well? A 5-level range doesn't seem outrageous - the lowbie just needs to be able to survive in party and contribute, which the party can decide.

OK I tried again, took about an hour to get to 3, I didn't have any issue with getting to 5-6, but I guess it'd take me about another hour - sounds like it's about what you guys were shooting for? I didn't see any 0.5 mobs.DeputyDog wrote: It shouldnt take a couple of hours to get to 3. Maybe to 5-6, especially in MA with all the the stuff to kill.

That sounds pretty good - want a new player to rock up, explore their faction, feel like they're getting somewhere in an hour or two.frogofpeace wrote:OK I tried again, took about an hour to get to 3, I didn't have any issue with getting to 5-6, but I guess it'd take me about another hour - sounds like it's about what you guys were shooting for? Was grinding away in Dwarf plane and discovered that the Goblinoid Shamans are CR 20 now?!?

Your timing for pointing this out is excellent - just about to be away for a few days.Eldaquen wrote:Was grinding away in Dwarf plane and discovered that the Goblinoid Shamans are CR 20 now?!?
Accidental CR decrease when I was tweaking ACs - tlkedit is a horrible, horrible program, heh. This will be fixed next reset, apologies for the inconvenience.

Don't see assassin in there... oh wait, you nerfed the xp on gobos so now our prestige class is the ONLY one than cannot solo somewhere at higher levelsmining wrote:Hrmm, might help if we can consider what can / can't solo in CR 36+ areas.
What I know can:
Clerics (Posi)
Mages w/ shield proficiency (Abyss, probably a lot of areas)
Shifters (lots of places, especially with damage shield)
CoT (Negi, Posi, Elysium?)
DWD (Everywhere if it has pal/rogue/azerblood)
SD (DWP, any others? Doubt it.)
Casters with Balor (Epic DE)
PM build (Pretty much anywhere they like)
Builds with AC >=76 (heaps of places, possibly slowly, but surely).
Barbarian, esp. with damage shield (Almost anywhere, some restrictions but can certainly do Elys and similar)
What I know has issues:
Pure Fighter. (low AC, needs to kit way too often in a lot of places)
I know that around level 35-37ish, Alzarra mobs are a good way to get XP, but after that it might get rougher.
[IO] is the way to go!

Re: You be the dev: XP for Kill Formulae omgthissucks
Yeah, the truth is that hipsers in general do pretty poorly in epic planes. I don't see how nerfing goblins has much to do with it though, because goblins are not an epic plane, not even close. I mean, CR 35 shaman is nice, but that doesn't compare to mostly ~37 DE, posi, etc.
But yeah, tons of spot, saves vs. fort/death, and bio-truesight mobs make life pretty tough for assassins. Or any other toon that has to use stealth to kill stuff. But this makes sense, because if it were possible to stealth vs. mobs, then you would basically free win/solo anywhere that's possible, because hips is unbalanced.

Giving UV to the Gobo shamans ruined my Assassins day...
