You're stuck with your alignment... however, you're smite-proof... and if you don't think that's a big deal check out some of the epic planes.

Smite-proof is pretty much why I chose it in the first place. But the verdict is no Dragon Knight, stick with Summon IX?

Any alignment can get Dragon Knight... you just don't get the balor or solar.

It is probably better than summon IX, it's just not as good as the solar or balor. I stoped making good toons after a trip to neg plane, got a dire mace in the face, HARD!

Either way the Slaadi should be better than ur elemental (at the very least it will last longer).

Previous discussion involved wizards... was just a suggestion for a summon between MonSum IX and DK.

You can use the slaad to lvl you to around 30, but after that, none of the summons are very effective except the PM summon or the BG summon. Summons are fun, but none of them are extremely tough. Even the deaths acomplice gets owned by 3 dwarves, hes a blast in pvp however.........

The solar can be an effective meat shield for PvM past 30 if you play it right. I had a cleric with solar boosts (conj, etc.) prewipe who levelled to 40 by grinding through Fire Plane, and he and the solar could take the fire boss and Alzara, no problem. (I haven't done a solar guy postwipe, so I don't know if they're the same.) Not very useful in PvP, though - I vote for giving em back real True Sight - nothing more fun than watching your solar chase down one of those pesky hipsers!
