A Word about dual logging

Post by DM_Kim »

Thank you to all dual loggers who co-operated this/last evening.

There are 2 reasons why you would be asked to log one PC off (outside of inactivity)

The second and least of the two is because there maybe a lag issue which is effected by dual logging.

The first and most important is that the server is close to the max allowable number of players. This is a matter of courtesy. By a solo dual logger logging off one PC you open up a slot for someone else to log in and experience NS4. Once the capped limit is reached no one else can log in. This extends to both players and DM's.

We know who is dual logging solo and where there are 2 players are logged in under the same IP address.

So when a request goes up in Shout asking Dual Logged PC's to have one log out, this is addressed to the solo dual logged. Please respect the request which in-turn demonstrates respect for your fellow players and the server. When the number of players drop below 55 dual log-in again.

Thank you.

I can see what youre saying. But I have also seen while a "max server" there have been 2 beyond the limit, if those arent DMs then I would relook at the max limit.
