Different staff members have different feelings towards players. For example Amoenotep hates you all. Well to be truthful we all pretty much hate you all but some hate more than others.

I tend to lean towards less hate and more towards finding some players truly comical. Specially the ones who like to think that we are idiots and don't see what is going on by which and to whom. When I use the term "comical" I am being very polite.

Now here is an example that is going to "kill two birds with one stone".
The first is "Bird" is: What's the meaning of "DM's need overlapping Screen Shots of combat logs when reporting a crime by another player against myself"
The second "Bird" is: "You never know who you are in party with" or "How not to draw unwanted DM attention unto myself because I want to get away with crimes against the NS4, specially over the SHOUT channel".

You see folks. Some of us DM's enjoy NS4 so damn much that we too play characters, and lvl them just like a good old fashion days before we became DM's. These character are not known by anyone. They have their mules for holding gear found etc.. Yup, just like the rest of you.

So have fun by having a good look at the follow set of Screen Shots. Maybe some, maybe one, maybe non will be taking a vacation from Aetheria as a result of the following Screen Shot. Whatever the outcome, please keep in mind that we on the staff "See All, Hear All and Deal with All". Heck, we're Gods and we do keep a "To Watch List". These SS are most certainly, how not to stay off that list.

First of all, let me say DM Kim is my favorite DM.

As has been suggested in previous posts complaining about mis-use of the shout channel, I began using tells to communicate with the new guy, Bastage. I told him about the forums here and the team speak channel. I gave him some hints about starting the faction jobs.

Apparently, Bastage logged out and in to try to fix some game glitch. With well over 40 people playing at the time, he forgot who he had been speaking with. His second round of shouting was trying to re-connect to the people (like me) that had been giving him advice earlier. Unfortunately, I was in the middle of running and fighting and, therefore, couldn't type any response to him. In that meantime, several inconsiderate people began the string of abuse. Read for yourself what all was said.

At the end of the excitement, DM Kim and I had a pleasant conversation. I look forward to gaming with DM Kim again. I will continue to attempt to help new people, as not too long ago I was the newbie and some very nice people helped me.

Being kind to others is important. As DM Kim says, you never know who you are gaming with. That "newbie" could well be a DM under cloak of an alternate log-in. I know I will never be the one that makes a DM or server owner so mad they yank the whole thing down and ruin the fun for others. I also know I won't be the one driving away players to the point that the developers see no reason to leave the empty server up.

The DMs here have taken on a bucket-load of irritations and stress... just so we can have an interesting place to play. How about act like you appreciate all their work? And DM Kim is still my favorite DM.

Bastage is a nice guy, respectful and with good questions. The only "flaw" he has is being new.

If we were none of us ever new, then perhaps the attitudes i saw on the ss would be ok.

Nah, those ppl were acting like asshats.

Personally, I'd love to see some of the meaner players (not talkin about PvP, I'm talking about lousy attitudes to everyone, noob, oldster, and middle) take an enforced break.


Go play WoW where the population is so large no one can keep track of who's acting like a mean tempered little child...
