The battle took 2 minutes? And you had took a pure barb down to badly damaged? Sounds balanced to me

Thunderstone's Dragon had stunning fists in which he used on me before previous updates to Druid dragons.

Please take this into account for the future:
Pure Druid Dragon shapes differ from Shifters, Druid/dragon is a one trick pony she is not a caster due to the feats needed to make the dragon shape viable.
Shifters have multiple epic shapes to pick from that they use to meet the various challenges. The advantages (unless this has changed) can be used to improve all other epic shapes, like the illithid shape psychic shield then shifting to dragon to boost AC.
Shifters have shapes that they can use that aren't stopped or blocked by doorways and rocks.
Shifter have Dragon fear, which I think should belong to pure Druids, based on the description, or shifters that only take dragon shape. The description talks about focusing powers to obtain the fear aura.
Dragons are hardly uber or overpowered, I've cut back on playing mine because I'm frustrated with hitting something and seeing it cause no damage, to both players and mobs.

Basically I'd like the people making the changes to remember that Shifters are not the same as pure druids when it comes to dragon shape and please make the changes accordingly. There are some TC and NC out there that today saw how ineffective a dragon is. Mine lost in a fair fight against a monk and I did no damage to the monk in the fight. I also did very little damage to a pure barb that beat me fair and square.
Thanks for listening.

All the stuns did was delay the final outcome, because we both knew my dragon couldn't to advantage of it do to the little damage it does. So once the stuns were used up, Willow's barb started cutting loose with IKD's, and crits averaging between 150 to 250+ points of damage.
Linuxpup wrote:Also, how many str-based characters can get AC into the high 70s? The fact is, dragons are really powerful, and I'd hope they'd still lose to a fighter or barb (of same level) since fighting is their speciality... while a dragon is meant to be powerful (and is), so is a fighter.
You said it yourself, str-based characters are exactly that, str-based, which in turn allows that character to deal out massive amounts of damage. So naturally their going to have a lower AC. But what you, and the other Dev's did was unbalance the equation. If a dragon does small amounts of damage, then it's only natural that they should have a high AC. See, I can play on words too

I agree dragons should be looked at again, as they do very little in the damage department but are very adept at having low ac.

One of the issues is the bug where their dual damage works against them instead of for them... again this will be fixed in 1.69. Currently the way it is, dual damage is only good if you have a good crit range, which Dragons do not.... with no change at all to their claw, they'll gain about 10-20 damage a hit on many enemies once 1.69 comes out.

That said, I'll add the missing Massive Critical item property bonus :)

BTW, their claws have about the same stats as a level 30 weapon.
